Well
I tried to get this for 2 years…but almost every one over looked it because they were to busy arguing that the class specific token was not good as another

Rather than asking TD to change their verification policy to suit your token organization system, you could change your token organization system to suit the TD verification policies.

For example you could get a few tubes like this:

www.amazon.com/Coinsafe-Plastic-Silver-Eagle-Coin/dp/B00MRA559M?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&psc=1

Put your 30 IS in them and dump them out / gather them up easily.

You could put the whole thing in something like this if you're concerned about losing them and tie it to your belt:

www.amazon.com/Vaultz-Locking-Tether-Medium-VZ00724/dp/B00P45FXGW/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=secure+pouch&qid=1627344380&sr=8-2

Personally I carry my TEs in a ziploc bag in a zipped in pocket on a vest while I'm doing runs.

Is there any way we can make the process more efficient? If you want us to pull the tokens from a binder multiple times per run across multiple runs, we can do that, but can we do anything to improve the process?

Also, this would be another reason to consider a nugget transmute into a single token that uses 3 IS slots. Less to validate, and you could add RFID if desired.

Part of the design philosophy was to force players to have to make choices on their slots - opening up more slots by consolidating TE's negates that. Of course, the ongoing increase in slots also sets this back.

I suspect anyone who legitimately has 10 sets of all TE's won't just be handing it out for anyone to borrow (I know I wouldn't - we're talking about $20K worth of tokens.) It isn't perfect, but I suspect that subset of the player population can probably be trusted.

Fred

The proposed transmute would take 3 slots. There's no reduction in slots taken, just in the number of tokens that have to be carried.

Josh, glad you understood. How can I better write the proposal? I’ve suggested it multiple times, but every time someone comes along commenting on consolidation. Do I need to write it in bold like this? uses 3 ioun stone slots

Ah - since it is in bold, I completely agree :)
This probably cuts a pound (maybe two) off what we carry. I (and my back) definitely support it.

Heck, if they put in rfid for identification, they would weigh even less!

The challenge is many people carry their full build plus TEs. Including slotless, my normal build is likely 50+ tokens and I'll run 2-4 different classes per con (with 60%-70% tokens crossing over into each other). Typical best case for me (excluding consumables) is one of these...

www.pelican.com/us/en/product/cases/protector/1500?sku=1500-000-240

I use foam inserts to keep everything from moving and a dozen 35 slot American Eagle coin trays for the tokens themselves. It works out to about 400 tokens. Total weight currently is just under 20 pounds (just shy of 8 pounds for the case itself.)

I'm trying to cut it down to about 200 tokens and a smaller version of that case (I like the case since it locks, is virtually indestructible and waterproof, and is relatively light considering the crazy durability.)

Just reducing the TE's proposed here would cut just shy of a 3/4 of pound (I just checked, each non-woodie token weighs 0.4 ounces and RFID and wooden tokens weigh 0.2 ounces.)

Sorry I don't know what that has to do with separately your TE's out into one of the suggestions Matthew provide. I carry 12 completely unique builds with me through the dungeon along with the various consumables that the party may or may not need. And till all my 40 TE's for the group are separate. I actually just carry them in a large token bag, that I dump out in epilogue. It isn't fancy, and it might not look good, but it does in fact work.
You either discover a star or you don't. You arrogant punk.

I've also been advocating for it, it seems like a win-win for players and True Dungeon. Chad, I think I did hear the suggestion from you first. :)

We carry two binders with the full builds including TE tokens for 10+ classes - so anything that can cut a bit of weight from that would be GREATLY appreciated. :)

I am also okay with taking it a step further:
“Charm of Avarice with metal”: takes up 1 charm slot and 3 Ioun Stone slots. Counts as equipping HoP, RoR, CoGF, ISSN, ISPN, and ISGN and cannot equip AoTF. Consolidate even further!

One potential reason to not do this is that we don't know how the "planned" TE transmute with the AoTF and upcoming UR TEs will factor into things and what side effects might come with it. For example: if the CoA and new transmute stack but there winds up being a total treasure cap near their total, it would likely be better to not merge the CoA with nuggets.

For a similar reason it might even be a bad idea to make the suggested nugget transmute. But I admit I'd jump at making the merged nuggets if it happened.

If a max treasure cap is ever introduced, I still don't see an issue with a merged IS treasure token. I would think it's ok for your treasure to go over the max, you just wouldn't receive more than the max.

You know what I love most about this thread? We're back to discussing issues around in person True Dungeon.

Edit: Wrong again. Ignore my first statement, I forgot that the merged IS token would take up 3 slots and you might not want to do that.
