TOPIC: Transmuting Gold Bar question

I think I've seen this answered before, but don't recall what the answer was.

The Skull of Cavadar has a 1,000 GP Bar as part of the recipe. Would I be able to use a 5,000 Bar for five of them or a 25,000 GP Bar for 25 of them, or do I need to break down those into 1,000 GP bars before sending in my Skull transmutes?
