I hope this doesn't mean all the beads of 2023 and whatevers of 2025 all get sponged up by big collectors leaving those of us, though loyal and dedicated, but not big contributors left off of the extra TE's.

Everyone can order tokens from True Dungeon and pick the TE URs (or different PYPs). It might be wise to order early, in case they sell out like they almost did with Shirts of the Nimble.

I imagine for something like this they will order extra and most of what goes out will come back in. Worste case they will do IOU cards until the first round of trasnmites come back around.

That would be the best way to do it. Though I think this year won't be nearly as bad as what 2025 will be. Hopefully they can stock some extra

Just based on these discussions, I would assume extras will be ordered.

I would NOT assume anything about cards if tokens run out. We got them for a dragon orb and for Shirt of the Nimble, but not for Pirate's Treasure Map, for example.

TPTB tend to be really awesome about this sort of thing when the player base gets vocal. Let's do them a favor and police ourselves a bit rather than getting vocal later.

I absolutely agree that we should probably lead with our expectations & plans to give TPTB more to base their plans & ordering off of. However to create a recipe that requires 12x URTEs and not allow IOUs seems like poor planning especially when they issued them for the last Shirt.

This recipe is going to drive up UR sales unless nobody focus's on the newest URs which I highly doubt. A newer group is going to need 120 x URs and not a small chunk of trade goods. It is a lot and there will be some complaints about cost as well as further criticism to come. I think an IOU card is not unreasonable especially if the token is used for multi-year token or is a TE. IOUs could be tracked & numbered to give HQ a real number to keep track of to know how much they need to order to cover any gaps or just say they are good until the CoA recipe is live.

With all of that said, we should probably should not let our negativity overshadow on excitement and what we really like about the current plans and possibilities.

IOU cards for a TE seems like it may be something they'd want to avoid unless they are numbered to track like the XP cards are. Imagine having to use that for verifying treasure. My guess is they ordered a lot more and have plans to recycle them as CoAs get made.

Pirate's map is a very different beast than orbs/PYP eligible items in that providing more would have put an obligation on TD to also make that many tokens available in the pulls. Providing IOU cards for a TE token has a smaller impact. Assumptions are always dangerous, but unless trying to convey a sense of exclusivity/luxury, few businesses are going to say they're out of stock on a $90/$250 item if they have a reasonable path to to accept that money in a way that makes the customer happy.

I think they're going to have a more challenging than usual token order to make with the manufacturer for the 2025 batch trying to anticipate how many more TE tokens will be sold and how that might reduce the number of other tokens sold, but I think they'll make sure everybody can buy one that wants.
