The nuggets take up three of the Ioun Stone slots, but players still have two slots available for other tokens.

The beads will eventually take up all three of the bead slots, leaving none for players to equip other tokens.

Should beads be expanded to five slots, so players can still equip beads in addition to the TE UR beads?

I would recommend yes. Not all players will have slot expanders, and I don't think TD wants all three bead slots permanently locked.

Bead slots get freed up with Uber Avarice. I say leave it at 3. We suffer for 5 years and they come back to us.

I don't want more slots to keep track of once I hit uber avarice level.

Heck, make IMO beads slotless again. I'm not being facetious or kidding either.

Charms were great right up until they started to get to crowded. I now beads are in the same boat before we even really got going on them.

And we all know what happens if we dont. Bead expander, new slot maybe trinket, followed by trinket expander and the next new slot. We're basically already playing a slotless game just with more pretences.

IMO you'll never please everyone but I really do feel like the whole push against slotless comes from a very small vocal minority who find it fun "to make hars choices" and want play the game they way they do.

So honest question, why do we need slot limits at all for beads?

Beads were never slotless. There were 3 beads the first year beads existed, and you could only equip one.

The again was a joke based on how hyperbolic the suggestion was. But it's still a real suggestion.

For the same reason there are slot limits for neck, ring, boots, etc?

Honest question, why do we need an ever expanding pool of slots? Why not just lock them down to the kind of crazy number we have now? DnD works great with dramatically fewer slots.

Let's not have slots at all. Just equip all the Tokens you want. Then in all their spare time TD can come up with 86 different levels of difficulty for the game to accommodate all the different players that equip whatever they want. Oh wait, it might take the App and Web character generator software guys about 5 years to program everything...

No. Players need to make the best choice or decision for each number of slots give for their build and live with the outcome. You want more treasure, fine. You want more buffs or bonuses, fine. But choice wisely. “You can’t have your treasure & spend it”

It was 1 bead the first year. It only was expanded to 3 recently to provide more design space.
Really the reason slots keep being added is to provide extra design space each time.
