TOPIC: One-Boot Billy's Map Question

Have a question regarding my wife and my One-Boot Billy's Maps. We have been creating them since January in order to turn in at Gen-Con this year. This is my wife's first year and I am trying to get her into it so we can team up. Unfortunately I found out today that I will need a mandatory surgery and will miss Get-Con as well I will be physically unable to come to GHC. These read that they have to be turned in at an in-person event and unlike the x 1 , x 3, and x 10 chips, cant be mailed in. I'm trying to figure if I need to sell them and try to recoup the trade goods that we have put into them or what are my options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You have until 10/1/2024 to redeem them. Obviously, treasure will change between 2023 and 2024.

You could also ask someone to cash them in for you, though that may be challenging or not worth the effort.

Here are currently published Gen Con dates.

Gen Con 2023: August 3-6, 2023
Gen Con 2024: August 1-4, 2024
Gen Con 2025: July 31 – August 3, 2025
Gen Con 2026: July 30 – August 2, 2026

If you wanted them redeemed at Gen Con or Gamehole Con this year and you can find someone willing to be your mule, if you redeemed a number of pulls equal to a multiple of 20, you could have them get a bunch of the gold shrink-wrapped treasure stacks. The opaqueness of the wraps can pretty well eliminate the possibility of shenanigans.

I will ask some if they can. We have a pretty trustworthy community here, I’m not worried about shenanigans.. I don’t want to burden someone with 700 + Tokens. That’s a lot of weight to add onto their own things for a full day.

I could do the GenCon transmutes of the maps for you (ie turning them in for treasure) then mail them out to you after the con.

If Grunnel's proposed solution doesn't work out, I'll note that there's a U.S. Post Office basically across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium. I mailed some stuff to another player during GenCon 2022; it really wasn't that big a deal.(I did remember to bring packing tape.) If you obtain a mule, that person could load up the 20 packs into small boxes, put them in a medium box, and ship it to you.
