I would stick at least $5-10 on each of the ingredients...they were harder than $5 to get - but I can't see them drawing $20...

The tempting stuff in that lot was of course the ingredients and the +1 swords, Darkvision and knocks were nice too!

Gary, were you paying $5 for them?? At So Cal, I saw them selling for more like $1-$2. the eBay auction seems to support that.

Long Sword +1 (~$8)
Great Sword +1 (~$6)
Long Bow +1 (~$6)
Potion of Darkvision (~$2)
Scroll: Knock (~$2)
Chain (~$1)
Lg. Shield (~$1)
The rest (~$3)
Would put the ingredients around $2 each.

Now granted, if the "prize" for these ingredients is nice enough (e.g Cloak of Invincibility or something), then there is no limit to how high the ingredients could go. :O

nope - not buying on the secondary market unless it is something really tempting.

the $5-10 tag is what I would put on them - how can they be $1 each??? That is the going value of a common in my book - and ingredients were SOOO much harder to get at SoCal.

I'd say SoCal is a deflated market - and INDY is more in tune with real value.

HOWEVER,
Anyone wishing to sell ingredeints for $1 each - I'll buy all you have...

More like $2, than $1. And come now... commons are usually much less than $1. ;) They are usually worthless or just above worthless. Unless of course you are talking about Potion of Healing or Dwarven Rations. :P

we are talking about out of print WOODIE commons - like 2003, 2004 and others I am missing...right?

All the WOODS have to be going up a tad in value...how much remains to be seen and IF new collectors flock to the old WOOD or new CHIPPIES - remains to be seen.

However, rarity and limited in existence has to rear its ugly head pretty soon.

Yeah, this is going to be interesting and I could see it going either way.

Personally, I'd rather have the new chips for my commons than the woodies. I think it might be as specific as permenants go down as demand shifts to chips and consumables steadily rise as they are progressively taken out of circulation but thats just a guess. Time will tell.

Woods dupped in the new batch are going to sink like a stone. They're simply not as cool looking and I think it's optomistic to even believe they'll hold their value in parity.

I WOOD not be so sure that the dupped items will drop like a rock. While tokens are not experiencing a sort of MAGIC CARD FRENZY - the first 4 years worth of tokens are still very COOL and denotes the same type of KUDOS someone with perfect XP can tout - that I was part of TD when...

I guess I would not mind seeing people unload their Woodies for Chippies...as I WOOD snatch them up as I am sure a few others WOOD too.
Welp, it's your lucky day then, I'm almost certainly going to be willing to swap out woods for chips and there are probaly a ton of them. I can chalk you down for a mass exchange once the new ones hit.
