Sorry about your loss.  I know that must have been painful to find the charred tokens.  =^(<br /><br />Actually, I don't think it is frowed upon to buy/sell tokens for cash.  I think the issue that Jeff and Co. has is if you buy and sell tokens AT GenCon.  You could check eBay periodically as I know people put their tokens up every now and then.<br /><br />I would also suggest that you bring your tokens to the Con.  If they are readable, they are usable (I think). <br /><br />Other than that, if you bought some of the new tokens, you might find someone willing to trade one of their older tokens.<br /><br />Either way, good luck!

Anyways, instead of cluttering up the board with another new thread. To build my collection up, I'm asking if people have any random rares or ultra rares for sale. So far I bought the 25 bag treasure token pack and made a deal with someone else on the board, but the more the better right?<br /><br />I'm particularly looking for:<br />+1 fullplate<br />hand of glory<br />ring of regeneration<br />dragonscale shield<br />other out of print stuff<br /><br />thanks for any PM's

Well, when you got nothing, you have to start somewhere; so the only thing I really have as of this point is cash...which seems to be universally accepted everywhere. So instead of buying stuff I would never use, I figured I'd just go all out, pay big if necessary and get tokens that I know will be used at the next run. Besides, in the long run, people and collectors will come and go, I just have to find them and be opportunistic.<br /><br /><br />

<br /><br />LOL!<br />  That's right, folks.  If you try to even post a wish list over there, you'll have your eyes plucked out.    Okay, so it may not be that bad, but after being scolded for posting a wish list and asking interested parties to come to the TD Forum to actual perform any discussions or transactions, I didn't go back to the GenCon forum.  Apparently, you're not even allowed to say, I'm looking for XYZ, if you're interested, PM me or something.<br /><br />JKW

<br />DS,<br /><br />    I am sorry to hear of your plight.  It doesn't sound like I have anything you'd be interested in.  <br />    You'd probably be better off taking advantage of the 2007 Token Pre-Orders (where you can choose your own UR for spending $250 or more).  If, however, you just want to help me get another $250 to spend, I'd consider selling my Ring of Evasion, Ring of Protection +1, and one of my last two Rings of Fire/Frost resistance (who would have known that the'd be 2006 only?  Doh, I traded too many of them off!).  I'm sure, however, that you'd be better of spending your money on a new token batch than buying the tokens I listed from my collection.<br /><br /><br />John<br />JKW<br />
