Are Ioun stones a consumable or are they permanent?<br /><br />George

I'm fairly certain that they are a permanent, they continue to circle around your head and the effect they have is a permanent one as long as you're using that stone.

Perminant unless Jeff comes up with a Ioun stone consuming monster, that is....
You should know better than to pick up a duck in a dungeon....

Why dispel when they can just grab or attack the stone itself. That was always the problem with them in d&d. No sane person would actually use them in a dungeon. It was like wearing a sign that said "@$^& with me".

Permanent as far as we're aware, with up to five being usable at any given time (though only one of any specific type).
