The last 5 minutes, and in particular, the last 1 minute, are prime bidding times for a lot of people. Bidding an hour in advance, much less, a day in advance, is completely foreign :-P

I knew if I were to have any chance of obtaining the tokens at (for me) a reasonable price, I should wait and bit at the end of the auction.  Let's not get back into the debate of the proper way to bid on e-bay...  I just thought, "what the heck," I'll place some early bids and see what happens.  I am still amazed at what some of these tokens go for - WAY outside the means of the masses.  I would think that most of us just don't have $100.00 (or even $50) to spend on a single wooden nickle.  My wife thinks I'm mad.  If she only knew that I hoped to increase my purchase next year...<br /><br /><br />JKW

Congrats on the outcome of your auction, Doug. I didn't end up with any winning bids, but I know that whoever bought those items was paying a decent price (and then some!) for them.<br /><br />Looking forward to seeing you at GenCon!
