Good questions, Gary.  I was wondering the same.  For simplicity, I assumed only Gold.  It'll be interesting to learn what is.

Good questions, Bro.  I assumed the Ring of the Eye, Guild of Ale Drinkers, and the Combo tokens would all be Gold only, since they are distributed non-randomly so it could cause some problems if some people got Gold and some got Plat.  But, for the Achemist Pouch, since it is found randomly in the dungeon only, it would be great if that were available to be found in both Gold and Plat.  <br /><br />And I can't thank Jeff & Company enough for putting unique usable tokens into the Dungeon to be found as treasure, that really spices up the Dungeon loot!  I hope that continues and even expands.  <br /><br />Mike

Just a question--maybe answered somewhere else, but I will ask anyway.  What happens to the damage of the dagger of throwing if the thrower happens to be wearing gauntlets of ogre strength or a girdle of giant strength or both?  <br /><br />Just a question.<br /><br /><br /><br />Widseth

Missile weapons do not benefit from those two items...<br /><br />Picture the Gauntlets and Girdle allowing enhanced arm and body power to melee attacks...where as missile attacks even thrown items (spear, dagger) do not get this benefit.  <br /><br />That's what the Bracers of Archery are for...

<br /><br />It gets stuck in what ever it hits (causing a two round penalty for retrieval, plus pummling damage from the monster as you retrieve it)  =D<br /><br /><br /><br />Actually what Gary said is right.  Note that if you use the dagger as a melee weapon, then your gauntlets and girdle would come into play.<br /><br />I originally thought it might be cool to have an imbed probability, such as slide an 01 and it gets stuck in the wall, slide a 20 and it sticks in the monster continuing to cause damage from blood loss, but the KISS principle won out.  So the assumption is that all damage is slashing type as the spinning blade passes the monster.  The blade returns, think boomerang, to the caster for the next round’s use.  This contrasts with other thrown weapons where a miss, (or a hit) means you have to go and spend a round to retrieve the weapon if you want to use it again.<br /><br /><br />Dave<br />

you forgot the ever shocking " the monster pulls it out and comes after you weilding your/now his dagger".  :O<br /><br /> the first time i heard that from a DM years ago (not in TD), i almost crapped my pants.<br /><br /> i also got beat to death by a giant using on of my fallen comrades as a club.  =|<br /><br /> 

I think the throwing (spinning) dagger should have some KEEN EDGE factor - like it could sever the arm or head if it hits on a crit!
