TOPIC: Raven's Shinies

I'm thrilled that I got most of the tokens I wanted in my order - only a few gaps to fill, and those are being worked on right now. As a quick note - I have a wood (rare) version of the "? ? ? Special" which I intend to use at this year's True Dungeon. I'm told it will function the same way as the new (UR) ? I can't imagine Jeff making the older styles unusable. Its not like the older weapons without damage wheels. Its one thing to maybe not have a designated 'use' for them this year. But I can't see Jeff saying, nope only the Chippies this year. But then again what do I know.

<br /><br />I specifically sent Jeff an e-mail as people were starting to trade according to what he was going to rule on the ? Specials...<br /><br />He told me - they would not be usable FOR THE SAME RESULT AS THE UR ? SPECIAL PURP.

If that's the case, I have a friend who's going to be pissed. He picked up one in 2004 as his only rare and has been hoarding that sucker ever since. On the plus side (for me anyway), if I can tell him honestly it's worthless, I can probably get it for a song in trade.

I'd hope they all still have a use...but it just might be that they will not the same use as the UR ? Eh, I'm sure that's what it is then. It wouldn't make any sense for all three specials from 2004 to be SPECIALs. The rare certainly should be and that's it. What I thought you were saying is that the rare special would no longer function.<br /><br />IF we hold the official ruling in abeyance for a while, I can still try to go complete that completely truthful trade with my friend .

Kay - I'm going to hold on trades until there's an official ruling, so no one gets screwed out of the deal (unless someone really wants the old ? ? ? Special, and doesn't care if it's useable or not)<br /><br />I remembered asking waaaay back, and thought I got the answer that they were the same.
