I'm sure most people around last year have a buncha them to trade. It was very easy to craft after all. It was definitely a newbie's best chance to get something nice for next to nothing.

<br /><br />I doubt there's a bunch of them.  You could only trade for them in the training room, you only got one trade per person per dungeon run, and you could trade for any one of three common combo tokens or trade other tokens (including trading 3 commons for a Very Rare I think), so there are probably a lot less of them floating around than you'd think.  It would be very interesting to find out how many of each combo was traded for. 

<br />The Combos were made outside the Training room at INDY - it was where ever Dave was...which was usually the Tavern.  And you could make 10 if you wanted to - as long as there was not a line for the Combos...<br />

<br /><br />That's not how I remember it, and I was at Indy.  I traded for the common Combos at Indy, and then traded with Dave for the cauldron level 2 and 3 combos.  I traded for my level 1 combos in the training room and had the understanding that was the only place you could do those trades.  I'm disappointed if you could also do the trades outside at any quantity - if that had been announced I'd have done some "three commons for an Elixer of Life" trades in the training room instead of trading for my combos.  <br /><br />Does anyone have the combo announcement from last year?  I was sure it said level one combos were only available in the training room, one per person per dungeon.

Nah. They were avaliable outside too. I gots the tokens to prove it.<br /><br />For trading in the run itself, that was pretty easy too. I just appropriated other people's unused trade option. They weren't using it anyway and it was still a max of 7 per run.

You know - come to think of it - I don't think I got any 1-C tokens from Dave...maybe at Socal...

At Indy, 1C Combos were only available from the trainer in the dungeon.  We limited trading in the training room to 1 per person, to ensure the training time was not taken up trading. <br /><br />2 and 3 C Combos were available from me in the tavern.  I asked that people who wanted more than one to get their first and wait until all had a chance to get one, then they could come back, or as some did just sit at the table and wait.  Trading was limited one token per day and there were only a limited number available 36, I think.  <br /><br />Because the 1C combo trading was so disruptive in the training area (really bad idea), at SoCal we said all combos would be made with me.  Because we were restriced on space at SoCal there was no tavern, so I sat outside.  <br /><br />Due to the fact that people trading for combos were fewer at SoCal than Indy, I really set no limits as long as everyone that showed up could make at least one.  We provided fewer numbers of available Combos at SoCal than we did in Indy (15-20 of each), when they were gone, that was it.<br /><br />Dave<br />

Eh, maybe it was socal. All I know is I've got more than could be explained by training room swapping. I only ursurped like 3-4 people's swaps and I've got over a dozen or so of the 1-C's.

<br /><br />yeah, i dont remember ANY trading in the training area last year.  either they didnt say anything about trading, or perhaps they mentioned it, but sounded much more like a if-you-are-new-and-need-stuff kind of 'trading', which i would have ignored since i only wanted a particular few rares at the time.

<br /><br />Not surprising. I don't think they mentioned it explicitly, though the tokens were all stacked there. Most people were interested in other things and you only had 1 trade in there. Why go for the funky weird blue token with a complex list of requirements when you could instead try to snag yourself some platemail or a +1 weapon.
