Will we know the status of this, particularly as it pertains to this year, relatively soon?  I need to start planning the logistics/transportion of how many tokens to bring and how.<br /><br />Thanks!!

I would have no problem driving my tokens with me to GENCON, but perhaps for those that are flying in, there could be the option that they could mail in all their trade-in tokens (or as many as TD says they are allocated) and either have the Trade Ingredient Tokens mailed to them, or available for pick-up at GENCON.

Just a side thought here.  We already have a tavern and dungeon set up at GenCon.  What if someone wanted to set up a "forge"/ "Armorsmith" shop (5' x 5' in a corner somewhere) to use as a token trade point with the smith trading the resource tokens for the commons/uncommons.  A price list could be put up on the wall along with business hours and 3 or 4 different folks could use the shop for trading with patrons.  The same could also be done with potions and scrolls if a person wanted to do so.  New common tokens could be added to rewards and purchase bags for such items as empty crystal vials, blank parchments, ink bottles, quills and potion ingredients.  As more common items are turned in, more token bags could be refilled and sold. Just my 2 copper pieces worth for the discussion.

Wow, I just had a pretty interesting idea.  What if traded in many of the same tokens to get the "army tokens" as was suggested, (50 shortbows for the "Bundle of Shortbows" or something and then made rules for an army combat mini-game?  You take all of the Army Tokens that you had and put them in a bag and shake them up, then you have People or troops of some kind that you give these equipment to alter their stats and your strategy to attack the other player?  Sort of like an "in-game" game with the tokens that were from the game?<br /><br />Waterskins and rations, rope and grappling hooks and such could make supplies for the troops.<br /><br />It would take a lot of rules finageling but it coo be pretty interesting....<br /><br />My head hurts.

Actually I think that would be quite interesting to do something like. Say in order to march 5 men from her to there your need at least one waterskin. So every five men need one waterskin to march and you can steal or loot the enemy of their supplies in order to keep your own men going. I would have to think on it some more but that would be a fun little game to play. Like strategy or risk using common tokens as the motivation for the troops. <br /><br />I am not very good at making up rules but I can throw out some suggestions.<br /><br />Like in order to attack a troop of 20 men need 4 weapons, armor (if not they'll take damage easier) and have to have just eaten or consumed some rations. In this scenario I am parsing it out as every five men you need one token in order to use them. So twenty men would need 4 of each. <br /><br />Hmm this is almost but not quite like warhammer. The only thing missing is the miniatures.<br /><br />Lady Myke

You can come up with lotsa various games involving tokens, but none of them actually need tokens really. It'd be pretty hard to design something that could be as complex as to really work them in. There are a lot of games that are like mini-war games that use cards or chips. Dicewars, clout, that battlefield came from YourMoveGames, etc. If we put in the effort, I'm sure people could put together something but it'd be hard to get people to adopt it unless TD made it an official event of some sort like true arena and then you would need to have volunteers and design people willing to work on it, run it and tweak it.
