TOPIC: Platinum Set Completed

Re: Platinum Set Completed 16 years 10 months ago #13
I did a recount of my inventory.
I seem to be down about 100+ tokens.
Looks like I probably gave out about 200-250 and received back about 100-125.
Hope those got while the getting was good. :)

I did one single trade this year where I gave out over 100 tokens more than I got back. Of course I was trading for 2004 (and a few 2003) tokens, so I was OK with the discrepancy in quantity & rarity.

That's a lot of tokens for a single trade. Well, unless you're a collector I suppose, who has been around a while.

It was about 250 tokens on my part, mostly 2007 but some woodies as well, for about 150 tokens. But, it got me 2003/2004 tokens which I enjoy collecting (hint-hint for anyone with a pile of them out there) for a larger quantity of similar tokens that Nathan was able to use to outfit his entire party, so it was win-win.

True - you've totally got me beat on shipping. I could have even sent mine a bit cheaper if I'd thought to use a flat rate package. I hope the tokens you sent were worth at least the $60!

Lets just say that 1 package cost about $60 to go from my hands to Ravens!

(mutter, mutter)

This is why I prefer to do larger, or more expensive (meaning UR), trades at the Con.

The package from Gary was totally worth the shipping, though. Cool tokens, and a nice little surprise... plus how many times do you get to unwrap a package which has "Check for traps here!" , "And here!", and "Here too!" written inside?

LOL!
That is too funny!
My bro leaves great little notes in packages. ehehehehhe

When I give friends cards I seal it, and then at the point of the envelope that seals I write 'licked for your inconvienence' and make a little :P face. heeheheh
