TOPIC: +2 bracers of defence rock!!!

In a quick practices, using the Bard slider that was there, I scored Two 20s in a row.  When I brought Lee back, someone had the Bard slider and I used another.  It went off the table.  Doh!<br /><br />

i did the first combat run on thursday and turned in the special. i asked for a practice slide and was denied. i managed to slide my first ever 20. i received a +2 bracers and a random UR. dancing ensued.  =D

Woohoo! That's fabulous.<br />I remember the heady rush of sliding a 20 to crit on Death (when Death was actually a DM, who would challenge you if you died during HardCore). The feeling leaves you so high, it's a miracle if you can think/slide straight the rest of the adventure.

<br /><br />Above, I was talking about 2005, when HardCore was first introduced. I killed Death. Left-handed. (grin)<br /><br />This year I got to use the Special 'UR' slide table twice. <br /><br />The first time, I got the bracers on my first (/second?) try. (Depends on whether you count the first as a practice - I did slide a 20, but the slider came to rest touching the back wall. Still breaking the outline of the 20, but technically "off the table". The second slide was a perfect 20)<br /><br />Then I traded away the +2 Bracers. (I'm still banging my head over that, but it was for a good cause.)<br /><br />The second time I got a shot, I was on muscle relaxants. Oy.... that did terrible things to my ability to walk, let alone wield a sword. I believe Jeff said he'd lost all confidence in my abilities. (I had too, at that point. 5 slides, and not one hit the outline)<br />
