TOPIC: Tough Tokens

<br />My party recognized the medusa and cleric exclaimed that he was going to keep looking even if she turned him to stone (which, of course, she did).<br />

<br /><br />Sounds like the one party I remember.  The guy came through the combat side twice when a particular lady and I worked.  He proclaimed "I know what I like" and stared, regardless the outcome.<br /><br />

holy shnikess Gary how do you figure that stuff out. between that and the 246 riddle you are the man.<br /><br />Gary is on my team for next year!!!

I figured "Daumes" meant something, but I didn't make the connection.<br />

I am terrible at anagrams - so I brushed up in the off season and I guess I have just started to think like Martin!<br /><br />As for the 246...we totally chatted it up off-forum and about the only thing left was something like a bottle number puzzle or perhaps a die puzzle...it was just lucky that I saw the numbers on the left side of the box and then thought - rows = 3 numbers = 3 and the rest is history...<br /><br />I did feel as thought I forgot something...maybe pieces of other clues...I hope the riddle reveal posts soon.

<br /><br />After the Con was over (Sunday evening) I came across some people complaining about their medusa, but they were the only ones I recall with medusa-related complaints all weekend* <br />Apparently one of the (female) fighters on their team had dropped her weapon token and was looking for it on the floor, when the medusa came up and tried to get between her face and the area where she was looking. She was right pissed off that the medusa was getting in the way, and trying to turn her to stone while she was just trying to find a lost token.<br /><br />I did try to be sympathetic about it (I know it's frustrating to be distracted when you're already ticked off about losing your tokens) but at the same time, I was thinking "What sort of warrior drops their weapon and expects the monster to leave them alone while they go find a sword?" I guess some people buy into the realism of TD more than others.<br /><br />*except, of course for the common complain of "I wasn't looking at her eyes!" To which I usually responded, "The Medusa has an 'area of effect' gaze. And of course, a true Gentleman would have been looking at her eyes, sir."

The medusa anagram was not the only one, if you were lucky enough to find the scroll talking about the golem fingers it signed Nogrog.  Gorgon spelled backwards.  Its little things like that, that make Jeff so clever in my opinion.

<br /><br />LOL ... that might have been me too ... I know that people were dropping/fumbling for things all over the place and I sure as anything wasn't going to be any help ... someone actually dropped a Stone to Flesh scroll in my room and I stepped on it and taunted them with it - yes, I was cruel (but I gave it back - eventually) ...

<br /><br />A top secret hint that existed on a single particular day on the forums here, months prior to the con. There weren't any in-game hints or suggestions about it.

Note to self: check forums on Xmas, Turkey Day, Jeff's B'day, Elvis' b'day, etc.!<br />

It was also embedded in an email blast as I recall.
