Truely, if I won a mutli-million dollar lottery, my wife knows that I'd spend a HUGE freaking amount on tokens. I'd probably set it up (Jeff willing) so that when players enter a room in the dungeon, they'd have to wade through a room with a foot-high level of tokens in it as part of their challenge to get to the other side. :)

Or, I'd at least rent a conference room and set it up with something like that. Muhahaha!

Sure ... from someone that already has a token named after them ;/

Er... yeah ;/

I'm just kidding you - I agree that the honor of having a token named after you should be more than a Wish Ring could grant.

Just wanted to post this for clarification. When I said:

Okay, having thought about it, using a wish to ask for a token named after you would be cool - but probably a bad idea. Like George demonstrated, you'd end up with people spending the money *so that they could get a personalized token*

... I wasn't trying to single George out as someone who wanted to buy a personalized token. In fact, I was kinda trying to say the opposite. True Dungeon has a lot of great fans, who contribute to the event in a lot of great ways. You can't put a pricetag on that. People like George who spend hours and hours trading in the tavern, helping to equip new players, answering rules questions, being a mark for the Rogues Game, volunteering as a door man, or whatever else people find to do within their means - it all adds up.

Some people have been blessed with the ability to contribute to the event financially, and that's great! But no one should be in the position where they feel they need to spend money to be recognized.

Does that make sense?

And on that note - THANK YOU to all the people who give so much to this event, whether it's in time, or money, cool ideas, or surfing for links to help other fans out, cheering on forumites who get a new job, plotting cool parties to run with through the dungeon, designing banners or costumes, sharing their tickets with people who missed the mad grab at registration, or just take the time to offer a word of appreciation to a tired volunteer.

The True Dungeon crowd rules!
I could see how it could be abused...
Ah, well! One can dream, eh? It's what Wishing is about! Yay! =)

Actually I was thinking some sort of druidic staff would be appropriate.

But oh, yes! If it were to happen, I'd definitely be some kind of Druidic implement, perhaps I could be counted as mistletoe harvested on midsummer's eve!
Good post, Raven.

There are so many people who do so much for this event. It's truly amazing and envigorating (sp). A simple "thank you" goes a long way. I appreciated the note in my vol pack for instance. That's special.

Night!
