If you're going to buy a Pick-Your-Purp Pack, I ask that you consider this:
I have a Horn of Plenty and Ring of Focus that are available for trade.
If you'd kindly order a purp I want, we can trade. I'm trying not to buy another 25k myself. Trading like this seems like a feasible way for two people to obtain wat they want - assuming someone else is going to buy another 25pk and ask for either a HoP or RoF.

Thank you for considering this.

John

Man, all I have is the vol. plat RoR, a RoF, and a savior stone, so I am no help. Trying to come up with a way to justify a pick-your-purp pack.
I've been considering a list of Purps I might want.

Here's what I came up with: (in order of want from highest to lowest)

Top Two on my list:

- Mithral Chain (just seems cool and not many people think it's "hot")
- (5x wanted) Girdle of Hill Giant Strength (who can resist the extra + to hit and damage?)

(2x) Nightshade's Sword +2 (I almost like this better than a LS+2 for a ranger))
+2 Flaming Shortbow (give the 2nd one to the Bard)
(2x) Gloves of Dex (gives the Wiz an extra point of AC)

(3x) Possibly Plate +1, simply because I don't own one
Possibly Longsword +2, simply because I don't own one.
Possibly +2 Keen Scimitar

The HoP seems so hot right now. I was originally hoping to get two items, such as the Mithral Chain and Gloves of Dexterity, in return for the HoP. Then the pick-your-purp went into affect. I'm trying to avoid spending more money on more 25-packs. As such, I'm wondering if I should simply trade 1-for-1.

JKW
I think your best bet is to wait a while.

In the spring when it is not possible to get a horn, the trade value of horns will rise and you should be able to get at least a purple and some reds if not two purples for your horn.

(Kind of like what I do for a living, in the wooden train business, when a train is about to go out of print, I try to buy a two year supply. That way when people come to my website they find items other websites dont have.)

I saw the business label. I meant to hang on to it. I like trains. Mind sending me the web site address again?

I know. I had meant to hang on to the Horn until next year to see what comes out in the 2008 trading.
I've had a few offers for the items I'd like. I don't want to be rude now that I've put out the feeler.
I do wonder, however, if I should hold on to it for a year.

Thank you for the good advice,

John
It makes great trade fodder for 1 to 1 with newbies. The only problem is newbies can't make up the difference in value so pretty much has to be 1 for 1.
