TOPIC: Token questions from a newbie

Re: Token questions from a newbie 16 years 2 months ago #13
You can outfit the party pretty well relatively cheaply - I'd think many people might donate tokens, and you should have a lot of trading material with 30 bags of tokens. Fighters/Paladins/Clerics can do well with Half Plate Armor, Large Shields, Great Helms (all Uncommons) and an Uncommon or Common Weapon. For the rest of the classes, you can outfit them pretty well with the right commons and uncommons, with some Rares scattered in.

I think he meant 30 tokens (3 Bags), if you are getting 30 bags (300 tokens) then you will be more than fine for everything.
Like others have said, the tokens increase the % of surviving, but for puzzle runs its your brain, your wits, and your senses that are you most important weapons. For combat runs, the tokens become more important as you are killing more monsters and the better gear make that task easier.

Rsparks, the way I see it, for TD on Normal mode, you only need tokens if you make reckless decisions in the dungeon or if you can't slide very well. Otherwise, you can really get by with just a dagger.

Nightmare though is another story entirely and is really only for people with tokens that are maxed or close to the max for their class (i.e. lots of ultra-rares).
