True, but not that big a loss.  It's another balance between having enough tokens to please everyone or not and having the tokens available for the runs.  Personally, I'd rather have all the tokens and use them next year.  It means a lot less stress on everyone involved.  <br /><br />We won't be having to run through the lines over and over.  People won't be getting upset at the lack of tokens(if any lack is there).  Noone will be sweating whether they'll be able to get that one last token in time to make their party perfect for the run they're nearly late to, etc.<br /><br />I'm lazy and stress takes a lot of effort, so if I can avoid it, I will.  I can wait to use the combos next year and be happy that I have all the ones I wanted.  Of course, I was also one of those kids who never tried to figure out what was in the christmas presents until it was time to open them on Christmas day, so maybe I'm just weird and wishful.

I was actually recommending having them given out at Gencon for those that want to wait, but have the option for those that don't to drop off the materials.

i think i would actually prefer as late a time as possible...which looks like it would be 9-11pm on thursday and friday.  obviously the 4C should be friday night, and being at the end of the day will allow anyone who got the new ingredient throughout the first two days to be able to trade in for it.  if it was going to be 2 hours on two mornings, i would suggest going with friday and saturday mornings (which i am also fine with...either way i expect an hour or so cut out of main exhibit hall time*).  again, you need to push the 4C back to a time when people will get the new ingredient (sat morning is the same as friday night for this purpose).<br /><br />*either combo in the morning, exhibit hall til 6, TD run at night; or exhibit hall til about 5, then fit TD run in before combo trading.

I can go with either early or late.  Since the 4C seems to be the token that probably won't run out due to the quantity printed vs number of ingredients out there, could it be available each day so that people who have gotten a 2008 ingredient can go on and make it and use it.  <br /><br />Kim

I like early (8am) as well, if Dave is able to work it into his schedule.<br /><br />Not only does it seem least likely to interfere with people's busy schedules, but if it's done in the morning, the people who really want a token will be there, and the people who only causally want their tokens may decide to sleep in, instead.<br /><br />Oh, and I second the many votes for 1C-3C-2C-4C!

I agree with whoever said that Thursday might be bad for a morning trade, given that Dave will probably still be working on set-up and last-minute fixes, in addition to the GT run.  <br />Plus, I have a feeling that ANY of the volunteers that help with the build on Wednesday night will be too tired to start that early in the morning on the first day of TD...

I'll be tired, but last year I didn't even sleep Weds night!<br />
