TOPIC: Rod of Seven Parts Character Cards are HERE

Rod of Seven Parts Character Cards are HERE 9 years 9 months ago #1

Here are the images for the fronts of the new 5th level character sub-classes that are playable by those who redeem their completed Rod of Seven Parts token at the Help Desk/Volunteer Desk. They will record the serial number of the token in a special log sheet, and then write the name that appears on your badge on a special voucher card. This card should be turned into your Coach as soon as you possible. Instead of playing the normal version of a character (say a Wizard) you will play the special sub-class of the Sorcerer. (This still makes the Wizard unplayable be anyone else in your group.)

You can redeem your Rod of Seven Parts token once per year for a voucher.

Thanks again for the tremendous support our token collectors have given our event. It has taken collectors SEVEN YEARS to collect the parts necessary to create a Rod of Seven Parts, and we all owe them a HUGE thank you.

Should the Drunken Master's Stunning Fist say "Twice per game..."?

Like the changes. A few questions though:

Does Troubadour's Song of Redoubt still benefit from Bard Instruments?

Illusionist's Improved Invisibility says "Invisible through two hostile actions"; that could mean either the second hostile action makes you visible, or the third one does. I assume it is the former, but want to confirm. Also, I assume the duration is the whole room, unless cancelled, like the lower level version.

Sorcerer's Elevate Damage, if cast consecutively, does it stack? Or does the second Elevate Damage do 15 damage and increase the damage of a third spell?

More importantly, I think abbreviating Drunken Master as "DM" opens up a whole mess of confusion. Since TD already has DMs...

Just change first sentence to "Twice per game may attempt to Stun a target with FoBs." The other power not reference the user, so this one does not need to either. As for the skill box, maybe just change it back to 'Monk'.

treasure finding on the bard is so underpowered it needs a third cast ;)

a second look (now off my phone) and these cards make me want to try other classes once a year :)

sheesh Raven is going to be unstoppable now. I can see a new run next year, Nightmare solo.

Wow - Bard Troubadour's Song of Redoubt and (especially) Treasure Finding spell means that the Bard Troubadour will be played on each of our runs! :)

Hopefully sliding lots of natural 20s and seeing '6' for damage. I feel like we need Sir Robin's Minstrels following you.

And there was much rejoicing...
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Or is it meant to be "once per combat?" Otherwise, "twice per game" is redundant. Because check boxes.
