I’d love some UR and transmuted wands for the Wizards to use in Medallion of the Mystic Mouth build now that wands aren’t consumables.

I will point out for the legendary numbers by class is the lowest for Bard, Monk, and Rogue at 6 (this includes the counts for Legendary's that all classes can use like Back, Charm, Hammer - even though some classes wouldn't use them).

50GP Wand Holster - protects wands from damage

Enhanced Wand Holster - protects wands from damage, may use wand 2/room

Exalted Wand Holster - protects wands from damage, may use wand 1/round

For sure.
I still like the idea of the 1 man band. Simulates all bard instruments being used at once.

This would allow you to :lore check, cast a spell, use a scroll and slide an attack.

Being a legendary there won't be so many to bog down games and its really not that big of a deal.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

I think bard and wizard need some love, I think the wand holsters are a great idea. For bard I the thing people want to do most is sing, attack and cast a spell. Maybe a Legendary transmute that lets them do all 3 once a combat or something.

For bards I dont think we need to over complicate things. Its probably enough to say bardsong adds X, bardsong continues regardless of what action the bard takes.

You will need to run with me then, my Rouge Build has +13 Damage on Range and Melee. I use +5 Ashers Fang and +5 Thor's Hammer. I easily squash your notion of abysmal damage from Rogues with an average of 24pts of Damage per rd LOL..

I would like to see holy sword cycle including legendary. I figure if we are going to hell (he said a hot place so I guess he could have been talking about Texas) it seems like the right year for it.

For Bard
Relic Charm of the one man band
Can use 2 instruments at the same time
Legendary Charm of the one man band
Can use 3 instruments at the same time

I don’t play Bard so I don’t know if that would be any good or not.

In the theme of requesting transmutes that can help players transition from normal to hardcore, how about some enhanced or exalted items that build a little on some of what seen to be popular rares?

+1 baton of focus (get +1 spell buff and magic weapon)
Reinforced cloak of shadow (+2 save, +1ac)
Ruby earcuff (+3hp, -1 fire dmg)

My rogue build puts out similar damage, but I assure you if I put the same gear on a ranger and picked up a common short sword in the off hand I would do more + get my head slot back. The same applies for all other marshal classes too. Heck, if I were to put the same gear on a wizard (which we could other then the weapon) the wizard would still do more damage on any fight where sneak attack failed due once again to not having those slots blocked.

I'm not saying a rogue cant put out high damage, I do play one from time to time, just that all of it comes from classless items better utilized by someone else.

I don't even think that the rogue should be top of the pack, but it would be nice not to be dead last. I even heard a certain grind GM who also plays a rogue somewhat frequently saying that the rogue was a largely ignorable target once their sneak attack was done so take that for what you will.

All that said do you really think +2 melee damage on an UR would make the rogue OP?







Anyway the main reason I came in was I also wanted to suggest a +2 treasure mid-range transmute based on a conversation with Brad in the other thread. I think it would help raise all boats so to speak. Ideally such a transmute would have a similar transmute cost to boots of the marauder and be a neck slot so as to conflict with a better existing TE, yet still stack with this years gold nugget if someone wanted to use it long term at the mid range.

Seriously though - the Crown of Expertise is amazing and in print for the spellcastig classes.

I'd wait a few years.

Monk is sort of out in the cold in the headwear department, but they at least can use Crown of Might to great effect.

These are great ideas.

To make the jump to HC the main things I think you need are to-hit and HP (and then damage, saves, and AC).
