The reality is you have a nice collection but are asking more than fair market value during the worst time to sell.

We’re in the worst public health and economic crisis in 100 years. Have a bit of context. More than a fifth of the country is out of work now and there is no clear end in sight. You aren’t going to have people lining up to make offers when they are wondering about their jobs. Yes, you should expect offers far less than you are hoping. You are the one who is promoting selling them - people aren’t pitching you out of the blue.

If you seriously consider just tossing them, I would encourage you to consider It an opportunity to help others. Sell them on ebay and donate whatever is brought in to a worthy cause. Local food pantries are overwhelmed with demand, the rescue missions are lower on funds than they’ve seen in generations, programs to help people get back on their feet have far too few donors. Beyond those, there are long term causes that need help that we all know about (American Stroke Association, Alzheimer’s association, the Red Cross, etc..) If you don’t want to go through the trouble of selling them like that, let someone else use this as an opportunity to make a difference. I’d be happy to organize an auction benefitting the American Stroke Association or to benefit food pantries in your area and match the first $10K generated towards that charity.

Alternately, throw them in a box in the basement, unsubscribe from the forums for a year, then come back and see if you still want to play. If not, sell the tokens then (hopefully we’re out of this by then.)

My 2 cents...

Fred

Your definition of "Form Letter" and mine are completely different. It had nothing to do with low balling.

As for donating? The only agency I would ever donate to is the SPCA or a No Kill Shelter.
"It's treason then."

Cranston's Character Generator for iDevices or Character Generator for Android

Amorgen's Excellent Excel Character Generator

Have you checked the Token DataBase ?

Those are great agencies to donate to.

You've got no reason to share it and I'm certainly not asking you to, but I'll admit you've got me curious about that form letter.

The ASPCA is definitely a worthy cause as well that I’d support. Their previous President was a dear friend of my mother before my mom’s passing and would dog sit my mom’s Great Pyrenees when my mom would visit us in Colorado.

It’s a good organization with amazing people leading them. I’d definitely add them to the list of places to support.

If you donate a few tokens my way I'll go adopt a dog. The kids want one... but I can't afford both tokens and a dog. B)

So ... if he doesn't send tokens your way, are you going with tokens or a dog for your kids? :)

Isn't the correct answer always "more tokens"?

Cheapest solution would probably be tokens plus dog, leave off the kids.

This is true... Or... I could send them to go be golems at True Dungeon... for more tokens. At some point kids become treasure generators right?

What happened to the "good old days" where kids were free labor rather than an expense?

Of course, now, we have kids who are taking an interest in TD... that definitely increases the cost!
