Here we go again! Doing it!

Auction Rules:

In order for the auction to be successful, the grand total of all highest bids must meet or exceed $7500. If we end up falling just short of the goal, I may still choose to go forward.

Bidding is ebay style, meaning:
◦Bids are sent to me via PM
◦You must bid at least the current bid + the bid increment.
◦Bid increment on items less than $20: 25 cents
◦Bid increment on items greater than or equal to $20 and less than $50: $1
◦Bid increment on items greater than or equal to $50: $5
◦Bids must be evenly divisible by the bid increment
◦The winning bid amount is the lesser of the 2nd highest bid + the bid increment and the highest bid.
◦I will update the current winning bid amount and a pseudonym of the bidder periodically.
◦In the event that multiple bidders all bid the same highest amount, the earliest bid will win it.
◦You are free to bid on any number of items for which multiples are available. Your bid will always apply to the lowest priced ones.
◦Current bids are shown. Minimums (bids without a name) must be met and are not included in the current total.
◦This auction style rewards early bidding, as you win ties and people must raise the bid by at least the bid increment to take it from you.


This auction will run until midnight US Central on February 24th; however:
◦If there are technical difficulties that prevent using the TD forums or messaging systems within the last hour of the auction all open items will be extended 24 hours.
◦If a new highest bidder is found on an item within 1 hour of the initial end auction time the bidding on those item(s) will be extended an additional 24 hours, open to all bidders.

Payment is required through PayPal via friends and family- the bid amount plus shipping is the amount that must arrive in my account after fees. All winning bids will have 48 hours after the close of auction to provide payment & your choice of PYP (if applicable). Any unpaid item(s) after allotted time will defer their winning bid and the next highest bidder will be offered the item at their maximum bid price of the item(s).

Shipping on winning bids with destinations in the US:
◦$4 for 9 or fewer tokens/items
◦$8 for 10 -170 tokens(USPS small flat rate)
◦$14 for 171-1000 tokens(USPS medium flat rate)
◦$19 for 1000-1550 tokens (USPS large flat rate)
◦International shipping is at the actual cost of shipping.
◦No shipping costs if you would prefer to arrange to pick up your tokens at Gencon.
◦Free shipping if we end up exceeding the goal and hitting $8,000.
◦I will raffle off a random UR from either this year or last year if we hit $7600.


Shipping will occur within 1 week of receiving the tokens from True Dungeon, with the exception of the signed adventure modules which will ship out after they arrive.

Okay, honest question about how to process bids.

Existing bid on PYP: $100
Subsequent bid comes for $106.

I think the current revealed bid would be $105 ($100 previous bid + $5 bid increment)?

But let's say the next bid to come is $110. I think the new revealed bid should just be $110 ($105 visible bid + $5 bid increment).

In which case, what was the point of the $106 bid vs a $105 bid?

New bid @ $106 would appear as $105. That is correct since you've referenced Ebay style.

The bid @$110 would be invalid. The minimum bid would be $111, since the bidder above submitted a bid of $106. You'd need to tell the guy/gal bidding $110 that his/her bid is invalid and would need to be at least $111.

That is how Ebay handles the scenario above, just automated.

Right, thats how ebay does it, but it seems like excessively annoying to have this back and forth via PMs. Seems much better if I can just clarify that I'll be taking bids only in increments of the bid increment. Maybe I should just make that explicit:
