TOPIC: **UPDATE** A "Token" of our gratitude

UPDATE

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who have reached out in support of this project in posts and PM's. The thought has been appreciated but the effort will be unneeded as per the info below from Jeff. Cranston will be taken care of in good kind. I am thankful to be part of such a great community that is willing to support one another and be open to listen to silly man such as myself.

I am looking to our community to see if there is interest in coming together for an act of kindness for someone who has been so "helpful" to new players and veterans alike.

Recently I came across a post where Binia was looking to trade for a Onyx version of Cranston's Helpful Hat for her husband (Cranston). I commented that I wouldn't mind contributing to gifting Cranston that token for all of his contributions towards the community and since he also made his app free this year when Covid happened. I feel his generosity has been instrumental part of VTD's accessibility to new players. His hard work to update the app to meet the communities growing needs in a virtual setting is just a testament to his character.

Gifting him this token, in my opinion is the least I feel "I" can do.

I feel a conviction to act on my feelings and see if anyone else would like to participate in group funding this endeavor.

I am looking for support in doing one of the following:

Option A
Pitching in towards purchasing the token outright for Cranston

Option B
See if there is support if I host a Onyx 8k (when there is a lull in the market to avoid conflicting with current auctions) with the intent on gifting the Onyx Cranston's Helpful hat outright from the auction to Tom as a "token" of our gratitude LOL dad pun!

If you feel convicted as well or feel this could be a good idea please let me know and post your thoughts below.

Sheesh, you guys are all making me tear up! What a cool thing for you all to volunteer to do, and very cool for Jeff to be willing to do this for Tom.

You and Tom have both done a lot for the community. It’s the least we could do.

Yes, Tom and you have done a lot for the community. We will find a way to reward you for all of your efforts.

This was such a cool idea. I'm glad that he's getting the token from Mr. Jeff. Its really neat how some tokens are named after people!
