TOPIC: AG Newletter 2/17/16 & WYC Ticket info

Just got an email saying AG members will get an email tomorrow with a link for buying tickets for WYC. Just FYI.


Everyone else will get the link on Saturday.

Looks like there will be 10 True Grinds.

True Grind: the 90 minute events start (for the players) at 4:30 PM, 5:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, and 8:30 PM

I am thinking this is on Friday and Saturday but it doesn't actual say.


True Dungeon: Friday (runs every 12 minutes from 2:36pm to 8:48pm) so this would be 32 runs (I think)
True Dungeon: Saturday (runs every 12 minutes from 12:36pm to 6:48pm) so this would be 32 runs (I think)

If I did my calculations correct this is more than twice as many runs as list here:
truedungeon.com/upcoming-events which is great news (imo). Though there possibly bubble breaks that might make it an even 30 each day.

As someone considering going to this convention for the first time, is there only 1 dungeon or does this also have a puzzle and combat version like the ones at gencon? Also for people who have gone in previous years what else can I expect to do? Does it have a dealer hall/board game demos or is it more RPG oriented?

There is just one dungeon, Darker deep Redux. It doesn't have 2 modes, butwill have puzzle and combat rooms.

As far as the con. It is tiny compared to Gen Con. There are all kinds of games (like Gen Con) and a small dealer hall.

I usually hang out with TD folks I only see at Gen Con and play board games with random people.

As someone who has gone two of the last three years I will say that it is a very well run small con. I have played in several games that were run by staff (or volunteers) and always had fun. It is a free con yet well worth a 20 dollar a day entrance fee in my opinion. I even went when the only True Dungeon was transmutes and the seminar/question session. Still had a blast. Also have juist gone down for the day (about a three hour drive or so), And stayed over night and both were fun.
Well worth it if you like games.

I pray that there are a couple bubbles. I'll need some time off of my feet & to eat my snacks! DMing is demanding.

I believe I am counting 52 Deeperdark Redux events. 25 on Friday and 27 on Saturday, though I may be off. That would mean there would be bubbles.

I also am seeing 3 sold out on Friday and 3 on Saturday. Several random tickets sold. Lots of still full runs at this point. I will update around 6pm before I head home.

Yes, you definitely want to get tickets before they start selling to the public.

The email I received was part of a "Adventurer's Guild Newsletter" similar to the normal newsletter and the volunteer newsletter. Perhaps you didn't make it onto that list?

I never got the email either. Oh, well, I would only have been able to do a run Friday morning so looks like I would be out of luck.

Does the newsletter discuss transmute times on Friday?
