Transmuting times at WYC? 8 years 2 months ago #13

I'll break mine down into three batches:

1) some 3-star shirts and amulets, and a couple of Fleeces (20-50 total)
2) some stuff I want to wear Saturday, 4-star transmutes, etc, that I need the stuff from batch 1 to complete (another 20-50)
3) about two large FRBoxes of trade goods that can be done last, or they can go back to Carbondale and the stuff mailed back to me a few weeks later.

I mailed my orders in (Large and Medium flat rate boxes). I received those back and mailed in another round and received those back already as well. I didn't want to go to WYC and spend all my time transmuting though I do see a need for it to be available.

last year i think we got all transmutes done...i dont think anything was mailed...
the amount of tokens that came through was ridiculous...but just think about the money saved from both ends of doing it

Agreed. Y'all did an awesome job. I know I got all my stuff pretty quickly.

I'm just saying that, for selfish reasons, I would like to save the postage of mailing everything in, and the risk that a box gets lost or breaks open along the way.

But, what I get back will be much smaller, so I wouldn't mind paying the $5 to have the trade goods mailed back to me if prioritizing the transmutes meant that everyone got their gear in time to play. It would be nice, too, if the people doing the counting could get out and enjoy some of the convention, instead of just cosplaying Gringotts goblins all weekend.

If they want to sort everything by Sunday, that's more convenient for me, of course.

I too would be willing to help out Thursday night after I get off work.

I have a trade to complete at WYC or I would be sending in most of my final transmutes. I need A LOT of silk to finish off a few shirts. :)

Though I may send in the few random things I have left. I will need to see if I can fit it in a small box.

i still enjoyed the convention a bit
I save most of my transmutes for this (it would be $200-400+ for shipping for me). I think if this is done at GHC too, the transmutes will be spread out

I dont mind giving Jeff $5 for shipping...I just hate the other for shipping

Speaking of Transmuting is there a new TEP form for this year (only been able to find the 2015 one truedungeon.com/newsletter/TEP_Form.pdf )

Sartre sits in in a coffee shop and asks for a coffee without cream. The barista apologizes “Sorry, we don't have any cream. Can I offer you a coffee without milk instead?”

I have 8 large flat rates all filled with baggies(no boxes full of baggies)...i am getting ready to start putting labels in the bags , then I can give an accurate account estimate

Thanks for the info. Please try to pack all the 2016 tokens together when you can...and label as such.

Also, the idea of dropping them all off on Thursday is great -- and doing two separate orders. One with the transmutes you need right away for your dungeon run, and one with base ingredients you don't need until later on Friday.

Thanks.

I could help transmute for a couple of hours on Thursday night, after the training run. As long as I'm tucked in bed by 1:00 a.m., I should be good for Friday's tasks. And, my peeps will know where to find me.

I know, right? I save more than enough in postage to pay for the gas to drive there. That was why I started going to the trading party before WYC in the first place... Then WYC turned out to be lots of fun. Bonus!

It would streamline things a little if we could make the new 4-point shirts and amulets in one step without making 3-point ones first, but I know that might be more confusing.
