TOPIC: Minimum Party Size

So, my wife and I signed up for a session tomorrow (4/1/2016) afternoon (I think it was the 4:48 pm one). We are first time players of this, and we wanted to try it without all the hubbub of Gencon. Last time I looked, we were still the only ones signed up.

Is there a minimum party size to run through the dungeons? Will we show up and find out that we don't get to play?

Also, if we are the only two players, would there be better classes to play together?

From what I have read people have done dungeons by themselves before so I don't think you will get turned away. I couldn't say how fun or challenging doing a dungeon by yourselves would be or how likely there will be walk ins to fill all the missing spots for the runs tomorrow. Looking at jedi's post here there is a run at 5:36 friday that currently has 5 people signed up if you schedule allowed you to switch to a run guarented to have more people than just yourself. Someone actually started a forum post here for that group as well.

You can play with only 1 person. It is possible. That said there are puzzle that may require multiple bodies. Combat may be difficult with only 2 people especially with only starting tokens. But you can play. If it turns out no one else buys the tickets. I would suggest playing non-lethal or seeing if there is a time you are able to play that has some tickets already sold.

Last year all tickets were bought up I think in the last day so there is hope.

Honestly if I wasn't on a run I would join you with a partner in crime so you would at least have a couple of bodies and a pool of tokens.

If it does end up just being the two of us, any idea what would be the best class combination to take? I was figuring on either (rouge or barbarian) and a cleric. Healing and damage potential or healing and sneak damage/extra hints.

As to changing times, ya, we thought about that. Problem is that we are on a tight time budget as we have to get back to meet up with my in laws. I have to drive them to the airport at like 3 am the next morning So, this was unfortunately the only time I could really squeeze in before I have to meet them and after work. Would have picked a Saturday time, but it was sold out

Without much of a token pool to work from I would suggest Monk and Wizard (with the thought that Chip is joining as Cleric).

Actually shoot me a PM. I might be able to help you out with tokens for whatever two classes you decide to run. It wouldn't be anything fancy but it will give you tokens in most slots to help keep you alive.

We would love to have a cleric. Not dying is a good thing. We would appreciate any help, though please don't go through too much trouble. I would hate for other peoples' plans to get messed up just because we are trapped at a specific time slot.

An option would be to play at non lethal difficulty. If you die you come back to life with 1 hp in the next room.

My son who generally goes on Runs with me is working in DC this week and I have Flexible plans. Also I you want a few tokens to help your builds I can have some
