TOPIC: Thank yous and searching for names of adventurers

Hey all! Thanks for the great runs this year! I had a blast!

Thanks to the DM's, Coaches, Trainers, NPC's, Props peeps, and upper staff for the event. Everyone managed another successful True Dungeon. Special thanks to John and Jean for making life more bearable while trapped in the Fallen costume. Honestly, until you put that costume on, you have no idea what it is like. The word "claustrophobic" comes to mind. Extra special thanks to Jeff Martin, who was back in the NPC locker room after my first shift as the Fallen, and put up with my sweaty funk stink as he washed out the mask, sprayed Febreeze into the costume, and put up with my embarrassing reaction when I realized who he was. :)

Now, Hawk would like to compose the tales of the adventures he was on, but like a dummy I forgot to bring a notebook to write down everyone's name, role, and which dungeon. If you were on a run with Hawk Fingle, Bard-at-Large, please reply here with your character name, role, and which dungeon, like so:

Hawk Fingle, Bard, Deeperdark Combat/Majesty Puzzle/Majesty Combat

This way he can maybe try to feature you in the upcoming tale, to be told in the bard section of the forums.

Thanks again, everyone! :silly:

May I ask what shift you were the fallen?

I didn't get in a run with you this year, Raven invited me, but didn't quite fit. Maybe next year!

I was Fallen on Thursday night shift starting at 5:30 pm and Saturday morning shift until 5:30 pm. Jury rigged adjustments were made to the mask for Saturday's shift based on my feedback from Thursday that made Saturday a much less difficult experience.

erm.. I have yet to come up with a good character name for my druid, but I ran with you..

Druid, Thursday 2:15 Behold Her Majesty puzzle

You were in the fallen costume on Saturday you say...?

hmm.. it was probably you I was asking if you wanted more chains, an Excedrin, were posing as a Rodin, and started dancing in front of you.. and got a few of my party to dance as well.. We were debating (and hoping) the moment you stepped behind the curtain was because you had to laugh at us. (had you been wearing your hat, I would have recognized you!)

Hi Hawk, I played the Druid on your run with Raven at noon Thursday. I was one of the Mercenaries, along with my friends Jeff Howard (Iron) and Bob Templeton (Stone).

I was on that run as Fighter.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Hawk I was the Ranger on your 1902 run Friday for Behold her majesty. Between the two of us we were singing songs that told the party what was needed to be done to defeat said monsters, a total blast! Also you and I were the only ones on the run to not succumb to the gaze of the Beholder. It was the one where we defeated the Beholder on the Nat 20 from the rogue while sneak attacking right at the sound of Gondor!

Lodestone, Octarine Wizard, Majesty Puzzle Thursday 2:15 pm

If it is of interest, I had the Earcuff of Inspiration so your bardsong was boosting my spells throughout our run.

I went through Majesty Combat just once with a group after 6 pm on Thursday, so that must have been you as the Fallen.

I'll try to post the whole group tomorrow when I'm on my PC, but I was the monk on the Thurs 2:15 BHM puzzle run.
