I thought the last setup for wands was awesome, 1/run with no turn in. I understand MM broke that a little but now there are options that make it not such a obvious choice. I am trying to alt-wands as a alternative druid build. As is with all the UR+ wand items I think it's...not terrible. Being able to free action 14 damage, or double blast (2xwand consumption) for 28 is not that bad considering I don't have to worry about hitting. I'm loosing relic wildshape but for my current build it's not a major loss as I wasn't going to hit anyways.

I personally would not want to do the turn in like rune stones because it limits any attempt at a wand build. Why would anyone want to run 3 slots for once per combat +6 damage ? If we want it to be more enticing then wand damage needs to go up dramatically. If we start seeing 15 damage wands you will start seeing more people use them.

Takes me back to the discussion how powerful it was to have a wand be used for entire run and then limiting it to one room.
