I am ONE MILLION excited to get new VTD adventures every month!
And very glad to see Fridays back on the calendar
The new interface looks exciting and generally time-saving, which is awesome!
However, I'm very interested to know how we will handle scenarios like this:
1. DM announces players win initative.
2. Overeager players immediately hit their attack roll buttons.
3. Cleric announces they are casting Prayer this round.
4. Slightly more patient players enter Prayer in their app or TDCC and *then* hit their attack roll buttons.
I'm assuming the computation is still performed client side by app/TDCC and every player still has to enter Prayer individually. If so, it seems like the overeager players from step 2 might miss out on the benefit for this round -- possibly barely missing when they ought to have hit. And the screenshot in video does not show how much damage a Miss hypothetically would have done, so there's no obvious way for a DM to adjust by adding that damage manually. When (not if) this occurs, how do we resolve it?
I'm also curious how damage spells will work, especially in the case where you get to cast more than one spell per round due to Mage Medallion / Ring or Charm of Spell Storing / Ring of Quick Blessing / what have you. In the past I could push all the buttons at my leisure and write down the numbers with a pencil, then report them to the DM when it's my turn. Will the app/TDCC allow me to transmit multiple damage-causing actions to the server during the same round, or will everyone have to sit and wait for me to enter my second one after everybody has finished with their first one?
