TOPIC: GEN CON: 2022 Golden Ticket Sign Up Page (GOLD-Backed Token)

This is probably a silly question, but do Golden Ticket runs grant the same XP codes and participation tokens as normal runs for that adventure or would I need to do a normal run as well to get those?

2. Can we turn our GT in at skullcon to lock the spot in?

1) the GT run at Gen Con is normally the Wednesday night, it could be anytime from the afternoon onwards. Plan to get there wednesday morning. These runs are used to check for problems so they have to happen after the build has finished and before the runs start on the thursday morning.

2) you need to email a photo of the GT to Laz to lock in your slot. the GT token itself should be held and turned in at the start of the run, where you would normally be turning in your tickets. You need to contact Laz so he can get you in to the area where the runs will be held. It is a security locked zone at the time of the runs and not open to general attendees until after Gen Con formally opens

Definitely email Laz with a picture of your GT as described in post 1 of this thread if you haven’t already. You might also want to ask if holding your GT until the run is an option. The token transmute page has an option to send in gold-backed GTs so the system can flag you as a Gen Con GT holder. (It also has a platinum-backed option for people doing a GT run at GHC.)

eveything Brad said is accurate except the holding your GT. There is a spot on the transmute page to mail them in. Please do so. I have Brads That might be why...I am sending his in with mine and my family

I am currently assuming handing them in at skull con is an option

If it isn't, that'll be an expensively insured package to TD.

Historically, the runs have started around 7p on Wednesday to give install enough time to get everything built then a little time to set up GT runs. No guarantees that it will be 7p, though. As to when it would end, I wouldn’t recommend making plans later that night - we’ve wandered out as late midnight.

It would be good to confirm times for when we need to show up, though. Quite a few of us fly in Wednesday from the west and need to make arrangements for flights, etc..

I would still say 7pm...but i i double check after this weekend.

We have a ranger with a GT that needs a spot.

it must have changed since the last time I was in a physical run or physically had a GT in my possession, that was 2018.
