I have to admit the Dice Roller seems to work a lot better than I expected, so extra points for that. I didn't think it was something that was needed and still don't but it has not been an impediment like I expected. I do think there are a couple things that would improve it or improve use with it.

1. Making sure the DM gives the oppurtunity for buffs to be applied before calling out for the roller. This mostly applies to the clerics Bless and Prayer. This is not a fault of the DM's or roller just something that is likely to improve as DM's get familar with it.

2. Have a better way to handle rerolls, for example Flank and the Fighter re-roll ability. I only played Rogue once yesterday, and when I attempted to Flank it seemed like it was completely ignored. There wasn't a chance for the player getting the extra rolls to get a chance to roll better (or in the case of the monk to stun). This might just be a DM training thing, but it seems a little clunky to have the player roll two more times and the DM keep track of it, but if that is what has to be done it needs to be done. I didn't see the Fighter in 2 runs gets the opportunity to reslide either.

3. Sneak attack - This might be an error in my understanding sneak attack and the way I have seen it operate every time in Physical Play, and if so I apologize. I re-read both the PHb and DMG and neither were conclusive to me. If a rogues attempts to sneak attack a monster in Physical TD and then finds out the monster cannot be sneaked they still get to attack the sneak damage is just not applied. Again this may be in correct and the entire attack should not be allowed but I haven't ever seen that happen. Nor do I see that spelled out in the guides, nor the way I have seen it play. With the roller if a rogue attempts to sneak attack and the target is not eligible for a sneak attack, no damage at all happens. Again this might be the way that is supposed to work, but doesn't feel right to me. Just beause they target has no vital organs or cannot be snuck upon shouldn't mean the attack fails, it would seem to me you don't get the bonus damage from it being a sneak attack. You don't get a to hit bonus from sneaking the only thing a sneak attack does vs a regular attack is the extra damage.

4. This is very minor but it would be nice/cute if a polymorph attack did a little animal or claw or something symbol instead of the melee sword symbol. Again very minor, doesn't take away from the use.

I am sure others ran into other and better examples for improvement, there were occasional technical issues, but that is to be expected. All that said I have to say I had a positive experience with the roller, so I don't want to make it sound like I am advocating against it, only that I think there is room for improvement.

2) the fighter reroll is triggered off the first miss in each combat and when it triggers it will show up in the roller as "WS Reroll". Flank attack is a buff that when selected will roll three times for the user and take the highest result. This is a buff granted to another class and the rogue must forgo their own attack. Thus it will NEVER work if you are the rogue as you cannot buff yourself in this manor, so working as intended.

Edit: ok I misunderstood the scenario you were saying. The rerolls are automatic so the is nothing extra a player does. If a reroll occurs you should see the status over the roll.

3) Most DMs in person treat failed sneak attacks as no damage but your right clear direction on the true intent would be nice

V8 is when we are addressing wizards. Sorry your class was not simple to tackle with the amount of other changes.

Excellent on the rerolls, completely missed that.

3. Are you sure most DM's in person treat a failed sneak attack as no damage, I guess techincally I don't know since damage is not revealed, but it doesn't seem that way. Maybe it is mis-perception on my part.

Oh I think one room addressed the Wizards quite nicely. (Little VTD schadenfreude from a non-wizard class)

The Plunder mini game die roll was so frustrating I would have preferred a D6 roller in the app for that room usable by our initiative rolling designee.

Overall this made combat announcements of damage much faster. No yelling the character name 3 times to respond and telling them to come off mute.

I personally enjoyed seeing the other player rolls and aggregated damage on the screen. As long as we get the sequence down (bardsong, Cleric actions, NOW roll) it appears it would help solve time constraints in rooms where we have had to face 10-12 enemies in the past in VTD

To be clear this thread is only about the dice roller not the Dungeon. All dungeon feedback should be saved till after the Sunday to avoid spoilers.

Totally understood, I didn't realize I added a true spoiler but don't want to take this off topic.

Sequentially it would be helpful to better link the roller to a Quick Strike which ignores bardsong bonuses that often are not being stopped and restarted prior to rolling that attack.

That is a level.of automation that is not feasible at this time. To support that you would have to disable bardsong before the roll

Loving the rollers! It really does help the frustration point of waiting for people to report damage as noted above.

One small request: it’d be nice to display an icon on the success rolls when Prayer or Bardsong make a difference in if the attack hit/missed. Something like a little music note or clasped hands in the upper left/right of the Success box.

It’s just nice to know that our actions affect combat in some discernible way :)

I guess it varies? I've never had this happen myself, when doing physical runs before I owned Bracers of Guided Strike the DMs had always just told me that the target cannot be Sneak Attacked and unless I have the appropriate token I need to perform a regular attack that turn instead.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

As a Cleric, I'm offended that the melee and ranged attack indicators are weapons that we cannot use. ;)
