TOPIC: Eldritch Runestone button

Eldritch Runestone button 2 years 3 months ago #1

Been a while since I have been able to attend a True Dungeon but I be returning to the adventure at Gen Con. Had a question going through my old tokens and found an Eldritch Runestone button. Is it still in use? Does it still give a special effect?

You can see the current effect for it here . Also side note they are commonly referred to as tokens these days.

Thank you,. It is actually a square button you pin on with a picture of a token on it.

Sounds like a TD curiosity. No doubt some collectors would like to have that. Can we please see a picture?.

I think it was used as proof of turn in one year.

The button is one my more unique treasures but I am surprised that it is so unusual in general, which is certainly cool to find out. :)

To answer your original question, my guess is that button only had a game effect in the year that you turned in your Eldritch Runestone to get it. That said, I'm sure many collectors (myself included) would love to have it or one like it, and you could get more than the value of an Eldritch Runestone for it, if you decided to trade it. It would be pretty neat to keep for yourself too. :)

That is correct. I think it was the 1st year, if you turned it in you wore the pin during the dungeon so the DM would know that you were immune to Darkstain- 2012. No in-game use anymore.
