It only prevents synergy bonuses; I would think you'd still get 2.

The 2 comes from 1-5 players equipping them, right? I guess I think that would still be a "synergy" bonus.

Note, I'd be happy to be mistaken here.

Per this paragraph from TokenDB, I think you'd get zero benefit from any synergy tokens, so you'd lose all 4 treasure pulls from the CoGF.

If this token is received as treasure, you become cursed. For as long as you are under this curse, you cannot benefit from any synergy bonuses. However, unless they are also cursed by their own Scale of Greed, other party members can gain synergy from the synergistic tokens you have equipped. E.g., if all 10 party members have equipped a Charm of Synergy, but you are the only one cursed by Scale of Greed, all your other party members gain +10 to their max HP, but you do not gain any extra HP from having your Charm of Synergy equipped.

truedungeon.com/curse says "You can negate the effect of one token ..." with list of tokens, but Potion of Bliss Stout says it removes all curses and tokendb.com entries say check tokens for whether negate one token or all tokens.

Synergy bonus and synergy token doesn't mean the same thing to me.

Treasure is calculated in coaching but verified in epilogue. So, you lose out before chance to remove curse?

Losing 2 draws may not concern someone with CoGF or CoA. Three Scales of Greed, first three runs DDs = 12 less treasure draws (probably). Note that truedungeon.com/curse says multiple copies of same curse must be used on multiple runs, but tokendb.com entries do not say that, though they link to truedungeon.com/curse. If I were reading tokendb.com, I'd get the impression that more than one of the same curse doesn't ever do anything based on the paragraph about not stacking as I don't normally feel a need to follow links to other places to understand how tokens work.

A synergistic treasure enhancer does indeed provide provide a synergy bonus. Ergo, that falls under the purview of Scale of Greed's curse.

Per truedungeon.com/curse:
These are, of course, completely optional--they're just a bit of geeky fun.
If one is not happy about the prospect of reducing one's treasure allotment and/or doesn't find that idea fun, then one should ignore that curse. We are explicitly giving folks permission to ignore these curses. One is not "breaking the rules" by doing so.
Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

So, Scale of Greed means losing 11-13 treasure draws per ticket for people who could equip CoA?

As far as I can tell, the new Cursed tokens do say they expire at the end of GameHole Con. Maybe, that was changed after this post. However, Glutony and Pride still say they expire at the end of Gen Con. That should probably be changed, or can I ignore those curses.

Question - When we received the curses at Skull Con, we were told to apply them at our next "In Person" TD run. Do these now apply to VTD as well?

As for my fun, I guess it will be watching everyone else suffer through these curses. Despite taking 8 tokens from the chest, I got 3 Mirrors of Pride, 2 Forks of Glutony, 2 Silver Ship Mirthwood Passage token and (oh yeah) one Candlestick of Anger. The first three I already had from Skull Con and V7. I guess, as a wizard, I'll lose some spell damage by not equipping a staff. And I don't think I've consumed a potion this year.

But since I didn't receive Sloth, Lust, Envy or Greed, while the rest of the party is singing in round 1, I'll be attacking. While the rest of the party sits in their chairs in round 2, I'll be attacking. While the rest of the party is unable to fire missiles, I'll be casting spells and throwing Thor's Hammer. And while the rest of the party laments their 2 less treasure in epilog, I'll still be collecting full treasure. I guess it's a good thing my pulls lacked diversity.

749 tickets. If everyone took a token then 749 draws from a population of 8. Roughly 94 of each token if uniform distribution. The 5 new curses are some of the rarest tokens to find out there. Be interesting in how many complete sets of the 7 curses are eventually assembled.

I would assume the "non-synergystic" parts would still work.

That's inconsistent.

Either synergy bonuses are negated, in which case CoGF still gives you 2 treasure draws.

Or, synergy tokens are negated, in which case CoA gives you 0 treasure draws.

From what Druegar said, even though "bonuses" terminology is used, the token negates tokens in all respects. But, felt it was worth confirming. While it might be fun to free up a charm slot to get rid of the oppressive CoAS, I don't know who thinks it's fun enough to lose 13 treasure pulls to choose to equip Scale.
