from Merriam Webster:
choose (verb)
1a : to select freely and after consideration
1b : to decide on especially by vote
2a : to have a preference for
2b : decide
1 : to make a selection
choice (noun)
1: the act of choosing
2: power of choosing
3b: a person or thing chosen
4: a number and variety to choose among
5: care in selecting

As I'm sure we all know, the description for CURSED Scale of Greed very clearly states (emphasis added):
For as long as you are under this curse, you cannot benefit from any synergy bonuses.

As I'm sure we all know, the word "bonus" does not mean the same thing as the word "token".

As I'm sure we all know, Charm of Avarice duplicates the effects of three other tokens: Horn of Plenty, Ring of Riches, and Charm of Good Fortune.

As I'm sure we all know, Horn of Plenty and Ring of Riches do not bestow any synergistic bonuses.

Therefore, if one draws a CURSED Scale of Greed, because I'm sure we remeber that it only negates synergistic bonuses, surely we ought to deduce that means the Horn of Plenty and Ring of Riches effects granted by Charm of Avarice would not be affected by the Scale's curse.

Thus, if one chose to abide by the Scale's curse--which, as we all know, is optional—one could make the choice to receive 2-4 fewer treasure pulls. But as I'm sure we all know, one is by no means under any obligation whatsoever to make the choice to reduce their treasure pull count.

If one thinks it would be fun to make the choice to reduce one's treasure draws, one is free to do so.
If one thinks it would not be fun to make the choice to reduce one's treasure draws, one is equally free to not reduce one's treasure draws. It's just that simple.
Have you looked it up in the TDb?

So to ask my question again:

I have a Fork of Gluttony. If I use a potion to remove the curse, will it cost me 2 of that potion?

I didn't realize taking the treasure from the Pillage room would cost a pull, because I'm pretty sure my sacrifice draw was going to be a CoA... ;) Talk about a curse!

Only if you want it to.
Curses are optional.

I don't mind paying the cost. I guess I could wait to be hurt, then use 2 of the common healing potions.

Was there any boon potential from the box, or was it curses al the way down? 4 of our 5 took the draw, and the 4 tokens we received were not all bad. Is the not bad for the drawer, or the non-drawer?

The only potential boon, as far as I can tell, was the Silver Ship Passage Mirthwood token. I'm pretty sure if you took nothing, you got nothing.

These are AWESOME. I want one of each.

My all ranged hero can't do missile attacks. LOL!!!!!!! AMAZING! Too funny.

Love the roleplaying aspect. Take the cursed treasure?? Yes, why not.

Has anyone made a list of all the ways to "fix the curse"?

James wrote: Can I bring a chair into the dungeon to use my curse?

I don't know if that's a serious question or if you're metaphorically winking. In case you were serious or for anyone else who may be wondering, the answer is an emphatic NO! Do not bring a chair into the dungeon!

From day one, the TDb description for CURSED Chair of Sloth has been very, VERY clear on this. I did not add emphasis here, this is how it's formatted on the page:
Unless you have a legitimate medical reason to do so, do not literally bring a chair into your in-person TD adventures.
Here's some general advice for everyone: If you have a question about a token, look it up on the TDb. Odds are, your question has already been answered.
