This is going to be a lot of fun...celebrating TD's 20th anniversary via VTD! What room do you want to see "riffed off of" from TD past?

One of the few I remember is the one with numbers on the ground.

I would love another crack at a specific room where some members of the party had to fight a monster while holding a styrofoam pentagon with their backs.

It would be A+ trolling to have another room where people are chained to chairs around table and need to find a way to remove the chains

Most of the ones I'd suggest are things that I'm not sure how you'd really pull off in VTD, like the key under the jungle-gym forcecage.

This sounds like a case of going back to old modules and seeing which ones might translate best to VTD.

A virtual crack at Smoak, the dragon, might be satisfying. Of course, all those old monsters will have to have their hp and abilities ramped up to match current player builds (at least at nightmare or epic levels).

That would be cool, as I don’t recall playing that year.

The story of Smoak is how my buddy Chris got me into True Dungeon. The “tail” is three rooms all combatted smoak at the same time smoak was so large. I think this could be transitioned into VTD in a unique way, i can email it if desired, or I’ll just leave it at that.

For dungeon experiences I enjoyed personally, the room I did at gamehole my first year was one that included a tablet, and an angel guardian, with several solutions to escape. Not sure it could be done on zoom without cameras, but it was an amazing room. We got onyx drinking pants that year I believe.

I can’t wait to see what comes, the horrors await!

That force cage was awesome. I remember one run of it the party spent like 8 minutes arguing over exactly how they wanted to use the rope to get it and I just took the pile of rope I was holding, stood on one end of it and threw the huge bundle of rope under the cage and over the top of the key and slowly pulled it back with the key tangled up in the mess of the rope while the rest of the party boggled at the fact that it worked

To go back to an old idea Laz has joked about. I'd love to see virtual versions of the really evading hilt storyline (or any of the old runs from the first few years).

Maybe we could do a caverns of time style thing where we got to defend key moments in TDs history from some kind of temporal threat.

Also I would love to see true craft or other story scape interactions make a return this year. Though we would probably need more vols for that.

Puzzle oriented and Combat Oriented runs would be a cool throwback. But like extreme versions. All puzzle no combat and all combat no puzzle.

Ray's ring and high HP is all you need :)
