TOPIC: [ANSWERED] Question on In-Person Exchange (GenCon)

[ANSWERED] Question on In-Person Exchange (GenCon) 9 months 3 weeks ago #1

I've always done the mail-in and this is the first time I was going to try the in-person transmute. I saw the In-Person Exchange Form, so I get that. But, do we need to notify them in any other way ahead of time? I may have overlooked it, but it seems like I just take the form+tokens and that is it.

Yes - that's pretty much it.

As a courtesy, please organize the transmute components so that counting them out is easier. This benefits you as well since you'll be standing there waiting while they count it out :) We may joke about showing up with giant trash bags in a mess for transmutes but I'm pretty sure that would be frowned upon.

Unless you are travelling from out-of-country, GenCon transmutes are usually limited to non-trade good transmutes (ie not for transmuting a bunch of bits to get 10 mystic silk, etc.. - these are for crafting relics, etc..)
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!

Best practice is to fill out the form in advance, and to organize your tokens as Fred mentioned. But yep, that’s pretty much it. You go to the Gen Con transmute area when it is open, you stand in line if there is one, you hand them the form and ingredients when you get to the front of the line, they verify the transmute(s), you walk out with your shiny new thing(s).

Thanks, but my trade items are already transmuted. I was looking to transmute 2 legendary items. Figured I'd do it there rather than risk a chance it gets lost in the mail.

At the bottom of the page where you download the form is a list of things you can do to expedite the exchange process.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
