For those that knew Widseth, he was a Bard of many songs. A legendary singer with many an instrument and a spectacular sword. It is with great sadness that I Grimwood share his passing to the next realm and adventures unknown. He will be remembered for his novels, his songs, his sword, his slaying of a dragon ( with only two helpers) and of course his superior friendship and love of life. Huzza brother. Rest well with your kin and I hope to see you again.
Gary aka: Grimwood, Cleric of the Western Woods CLERIC for life - I have the character card to prove it! Former owner of a Ring of Three Wishes and Jeff's finger!

Damn...such sad news. He was one of many who reached out to me during my wife's illness. I hope the other side is as good as you imagined it would be. See you there one day Dennis.

Widseth was always kind, encouraging, and supporting of me - a total stranger - and lived up to the high fantasy ideals of a bard.

Peace to a truely unique member of our community.

Dennis was a man of outstanding faith, kindness and joy. All who came into contact with him immediately knew he was a very special person. The world is now a dimmer place. Rest well.

Damn. Just super sad news. So sorry to hear this. Best wishes to all of his family. I really wish I could have seen him in the dungeon again, he was such a nice guy. He last posted here on May 1st and looking at his profile I see he logged in about 4 days ago. A real TD fan up until the very end. He's off on a new adventure now, may God guide his way...

Widseth was a Legend in so many ways. From his songs, to his kindness to new players, sponsoring Dungeon runs for vets, to the immense joy he shared with old friends, he touched so many hearts in True Dungeon.

It was an honour to adventure with him, and I will still smile every time I see his name on a token, or hear it spoken by another player.

I didn't know him as well as a lot of the people who have already commented but the few the times I had the pleasure of interacting with him he was always a wonderful person and part of the community. He will be missed.

i had the luck of seeing dennis in 2005 after a run. i didn't speak. i just watched his group and the excitement he had for the event was palpable. it was inspiring. the following year we spoke briefly before our separate runs. i remember thinking, he wasn't only excited about the event, it was the whole thing...GC, TD, fellow authors, friends, etc. over the years we had many dealings. he was a joy to be around whether we were talking TD or family or even something trivial.dennis had a passion for life that was infectious.

he was my friend and i will miss him.
