Want to have an easy room 7? Bring a monk with stunning fist and an illusionist. If the monk doesn't stun the big bad, the illusionist can DAZE it - throw in a ring of spell storing and a crown of expertise and help from a restore spell...

Of course, this works best if there is just one monster. A high-level level illusionist could FORK the DAZE spell one round.

I've seen this happen before.

One thing - the fork power is only usable on spells that deal damage, so you'll have to use one of the various token combos that allow multiple spells in one round to get multiple monsters dazed at the same time.

The whole discussion on Fork is sort of a moot point. The spell in question applies to "All" monsters.

Yes - you can absolutely stun lock opponents using Prismatic Spray. We tested this with a VTD where we fight a mob that runs away after a certain amount of damage. We wanted to see if it was possible to just kill them. I ran as the illusionist. Although the flavor text says they run away, we greatly exceeded their max hp as a group a couple times over. They won initiative but never got to act again.

Casting #1 - using conserve
Casting #2 - from ring of spell storing
Casting #3 - from crown of expertise
Casting #4 - regular casting from card
Casting #5 - cleric restored casting
(wasn't needed) Casting #6 - second cleric restored casting via Druegar's

This is, absolutely, the most broken spell in the game. It stun locks anything not immune to force damage. Even more, it applies to groups rather than individuals.

The rest of the illusionist card is pretty useless at NM or harder since 3 of the damage spells are saving throw based and the NPCs make the saves on a 2. You also lose alertness. That leaves you with a far inferior set of spells excepting the one uber-spell :)
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!

You don't even need the Monk, I'd equipped a +2 Stunning Lt. Crossbow during training due to playing a random class and it being usable by almost everyone, and ended up stunning Batterak from round 1 due to sliding one of the large "20" spaces.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

Daze does 10 points force damage.
