TOPIC: 2024 PYP Values

Which PYP's does everyone think will have the most value going forward?

My guess would be greaves and BoB.

Here is my opinion for each of the 2024 PYP's. Everyone is welcome to have different opinions of them.

+2 Mystic Staff of the Ancients (B ) - Nice ranged weapon for classes which do not have great missile choices below Thor's. Shuriken-using Monks may equip it to get the +2 ranged on the party card (cheese). Part of the +1 level set.

+2 Savage Sword (C+) - Transmutes twice with classes dwindling each time. Poor choice for a Barbarian. BiS as is for Ranger main hand? Transmutes to BiS for Fighters.

Acherin’s Biting Bow (C) - Great for Dex-build Rangers and some Bards.

Armor of the Ancients (B ) - Good for classes which can't wear better armor. Part of the +1 level set.

Boots of Brawling (B+) - BiS at UR level for those wanting to hit more often. There aren't many tokens which give pure bonuses to hit.

Bracelets of Bounding (C-) - Highly contested slot. Obviously of benefit for Dex builds.

Charm of Shared Recovery (B ) - I was originally going to give this a lower score, but alone it is still twice as good as a Ring of Regeneration in a lesser slot. It will be even better in organized synergy groups.

Charm of the Ancients (D) - I would have scored it lower if it weren't part of the +1 level set.

Death Knight Cloak (D+) - I am not a fan of the 1/room attacking ranged-only with melee. I'm not a fan of the Death Knight set bonus either. Perhaps if the retribution grew with additional set pieces worn?

Death Knight Shield (B-) - Solid choice for Clerics, Fighters, and Paladins who care more about doing damage than they do about having a higher AC.

Earcuff of Sage Spite (B-) - Counterpart to the Earcuff of the Ravager. Contested slot at the UR level.

Figurine of Power: Cat (A) - Reprint of a great FoP for all classes.

Gloves of the Gladiator (A-) - Good choice for both Barbarians and ranged-based characters using 2-handed weapons. Transmutes twice. Obsoletes the Gauntlets of Linked Fury and Gloves of Greater Archery (unless using a 1-handed ranged weapon).

Greaves of the Stalwart (A+) - I imagine this will be more than 50% of all PYPs sold.

Ioun Stone Amethyst Prism (A) - This is an obvious choice for any focus-based characters. It will be even better once 3 ioun slots open-up...

Kilt of Divine Healing (B ) - Lenses of Divine Sight for the leg slot and they even work together. I can see some UR clerics swapping-out their Pants of Focus for these.

Lenses of the Fae (A) - Reprint of a highly desirable 2017 token.

Libram of Looting (A) - Second reprint of one of the most desired tokens for rogues.

Ring of the Ancients (C) - Part of the +1 level set. Less desirable than the volunteer Ring of the Champion (IMHO). I guess you could wear both.

Robe of the Ancients (C-) - Part of the +1 level set. At the UR level it does give an option to the Moonhide Robe for Monks and Wizards (and Robe of the Arch-Mage if any Wizards wear currently wear that).

Robe of the Ancients is BiS if you care about damage above all for wizzes.

Monk still needs to hit things, so reason for Aron's if ranged build. Still adds damage to other ranged builds like primarily spellcasting druid or any sort of missile build. Compare to other torso slot options for missile builds.

It's funny that a common will give more AC for missile build, but nobody runs that common for AC in UR+ builds.

Agree that the following 2 will remain popular for a long time:
PYP Robe of the Ancients
PYP +2 Mystic Staff of the Ancients

I think the optimal approach to get the +1 level set bonus would be to add the Ankh of the Ancients, but not sure how many of these volunteer tokens will be in circulation. Depending on how rare the Ankh is folks might look at the other of the Ancients items to complete the set.

Honestly the greeves will hold their value until the greeves get made into it's final form. Other than that I would honestly that not a single one will hold it's value as they are pretty poor URs

Maybe. The ingredients of the Kilt of Dungeonbane and Shirt of the Arcanum didn't particularly do well if I recall correctly.
