I imagine it would depend on your role - easier for a coach than a DM, for example.

Hmm. Only planning to do two runs at gencon this year so gamehole seemed like a good place to make up part of the difference. It'd be hard to guess which end of the runs would be better too timewise considering I've now full timed twice and did reg once and epilogue once. Thought about perhaps giving coaching a whirl if more help is needed there depending on how the volunteer situation turns out.

My problem is since they don't offer a part time volunteer option this year I am just showing up on thursday to help setup and may help out with some light coaching if one of my slots gets done early. I would have coached full time at gencon this year so I think people always appreciate an extra hand especially Saturday seems to be a super busy day.

GameholeCon event listing are up. True Dungeon will be offering Moongate Maze and Dancing Among Stones adventures. It looks like they first start around 2pm on Friday with runs starting through about 10pm. On Saturday they are scheduled to start around noon with runs starting up until almost midnight. It's possible they will modify the schedule a bit later. They did that last year, but it was their first year there and they probably know better what to expect this time around.

With runs on Saturday going past midnight they must have worked out the issue they had last year with the con shutting down earlier. Also, I didn't notice any True Grind this time around. But again, adjustments may be forthcoming. It's very likely there will still be runs available up until the con, but if you're interested in certain times, the VIG registration and True Dungeon registration both occur prior to Gen Con.

I am thinking the 11pm runs are a mistake because there is a big gap before them.

I am also wondering if Grind will be back or not.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

Maybe it's possible they meant 11am runs. I know last year they started before noon on Friday, but given how Saturday tickets sold much better than Friday tickets it would make sense to try and do as many runs as possible on Saturday.

I missed seeing that gap. I just looked at the start and end times for each day. I was wondering about how to survive a 12 hour volunteer shift.

The shift from PM to AM makes sense.

So I am going to be buying out two runs on saturday. I am shooting for 2:13 dancing among the stones and 4:24 moongate maze. I am a VIG so I get to reg early. Once the forum group for gameholecon opens up I will make threads for those slots. I think the GM nicknamed us last year Team Steamroller, good times.

As a VIG (I am one as well) do we get one or too runs on the early pick? Or is it based on the number of tickets, like ten?

You actually get as many as you want. We are only limited to Special events which you only allowed to get 2. Technically speaking you could buy out multiple runs, the problem is due to the ghosting rules you can't ghost said runs so if you buy it and you don't use it you basically are stuck with the ticket or find random people to run on it with you. The refund rules are generally less lax then at gencon. Don't expect to buy out a run and refund a few of the tickets last minute.

I don't think you can buy True Dungeon passes immediately when it opens for the VIG badge holders, but have to wait until the later date that was posted...

I may be wrong, and if so, I hope someone corrects me.

I also hold a VIG badge and want to register for as many td runs as I can.

I will clarify, True Dungeon tickets are for sale the 12th, vig opens the 5th. General ticket reg opens in sept so I am assuming VIG get first crack at TD tickets.
