Well, I have two of the tickets for this run, one for veteran me and my first-year-attendee buddy.

I tend to play the cleric, druid and bard in order of preference. Buddy not sure but may like a fighter type to demonstrate shuffleboard skills (or wizard, as I can outfit him for that)..

Hi!

My friend and I are in this run, I think... it says 1:00 on Gen Con’s website.
We are both rookies and have never played before. Any suggestions for beginner classes?

Welcome to the forum!

12:48 and 1:00 will be different runs. They are every 12 minutes.

Fighter, Dwarf Fighter, and Barbarian are the simplest, but I wouldn't worry about that too much. I would just play what sounds fun and try to be flexible about it. If you want to review the class cards ahead of time to get a feel for them, they can be found here: truedungeon.com/resources/item/49-character-class-cards

I also highly recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early if possible.

Have fun!
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

Yes, 1pm should be another run. Good luck with it and get there early. You have to sign a waiver to walk in dark areas and find your meetup room, choose characters, open your free tokens, decide who needs weapons, armor from those tokens, etc. No problem with enough time.

All characters will be shuffleboarding, so any fighter works for new players. Monk, Ranger, Paladin have special requirements so those if you are brave. Most of the other classes have a memory test of a chart you get at the beginning for 10 minutes, nothing really hard there. The one I don't recommend for beginners is the Rogue, unless you are very good at the bar dexterity game of moving a hoop along a wire without touching it.
