TOPIC: E3.6 Puzzle Room - Spoilers and Solution Discussion

E3.6 Puzzle Room - Spoilers and Solution Discussion 5 years 4 months ago #1

Spoilers below, obviously - I'm curious about the solution to this puzzle.

The room I'm thinking of was the one with skulls embedded in the wall with glowing eyes.

Our experience was about the same as yours.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Same here. We tried forward, backwards, and even looking at the negative space in the letters. Got the same response from the DM.

I had successfully completed the rogue challenge and was waiting to see if my groupwould get it. I certainly didn't know. After a couple of minutes I asked for the clue.....

It wasn’t working in the GT run and then we went through on Sat night and it was working.

We solved it with some encouragement from the DM (he was doing impromptu lore checks for random classes on the last minute of the room, since we were close)

Now that I’m typing it out I realize the anagram doesn’t fit. But the solution was something like that at least.
