My current suggestion, please pick it apart:

Cannot crit. Melee damage modifier becomes 0.

Yes, this means if you have 6str, you still get a 0 damage modifier (bonus). If you have 18 str, you lose damage.

In thinking about the whole Rod of the Meek fracas, I was reminded of this 2016 token:

Stu's +3 Handy Stein

Let's compare this with the proposed second version of Rod of the Meek, which was:

+3 to hit, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 damage wheel, and requires 18 or lower Strength

In my opinion, this token was perfect, however lots of people insisted on inserting additional limitations, presumably because of a fear that this would be too powerful. As a result design never coalesced and a super fun token that would have contributed both to build variety and reducing the gap between new players and those who carry tokens by the suitcase was shelved.

Comparison with Stu's shows definitively that this is not too powerful:

To hit bonus: Same - Both weapons offer +3 to hit at UR.

Usable by: Advantage Stu's - Both weapons are usable by all, but Stu's is FoB compatible for Monks.

Hands: Same - both are one handed weapons.

Damage wheel: Advantage Rod of the Meek, with 8.5 average damage, vs. Stu's with 5.5 average damage.

Other abilities: Advantage Stu's - Stu's has the awesome ability of 'may drink up to 2 portions as a free action 1/room, RoM has the massive drawback of "STR must be less than 18"

Now, Note:

1. Stu's isn't showing up in a bunch of BiS builds, it is not a chase token, people don't wax rhapsodic talking about how great it is in their build, it is not the subject of ongoing discussion of how broken it is like MeC, Io's, Thor's or other tokens.

2. Stu's is a 2 year out of print UR which is readily available on the secondary market, and recently has sold at auction on eBay for $98

The total delta between Stu's and RoM as proposed is:

+3 damage
Lost the ability to drink 2 potions as a free action 1/room
Lose FoB if you're a Monk
Gail the drawback of 18 max STR

Anyone who maintains that RoM as proposed is broken needs to explain why Stu's isn't similarly broken.

Stu's is strictly better to anyone with a STR of 24 of greater.

Are you sure about that last part? Because I don't see any mention of Flurry of Blows in TDB entry you linked to, while the Viper Strike items explicitly spell it out, and provide a link to FoB compatible items, of which the Stein is not listed...

There could be 4 different next year: fighter, dwarf fighter, wizard, and elf wizard.

5 if clerics get one....

But clerics already got thors hammer. The hammer even has convenient reminder text to boost your dex enough so you can hit monsters when you throw it.

Is that the same list that keeps leaving the cleric off of it?:P

Wizards already got their class legendary. Why should they get another?

Lol!

In planning this year's events, I find that I may actually be playing cleric a couple times, as our regular one is indisposed.

I am pretty certain that in design it was asked and Jeff answered yes.

Of course, if TDb doesn't say so, then it ain't so.

My submission for your consideration:

Figurine of power :Mimic
You can use a class ability(no spells) from an unused character card. 1/game

Drakkon's figurine of power:Mimic

Can use an non-spell ability/power from any other player card. 1/game.

So if nobody picked cleric/druid you would still have access to restore spell/power. And other shenanigans as well.
If you liked my room, my name is Steve. If you didn't like my room, my name is Hoolio

Redoubt hat : head : cannot be surprised, +1 con

Blessed redoubt hat : head : cannot be surprised, +2 con, +2 dex

Redoubt horn : off hand : +2 damage and may remove surprise from other party members 1/ game 3/4/5/6 may be used as a weapon by ranger and monk counts as a +2 weapon. Additional damage not baked in since it goes on the party card for main hand and spells.

Redoubt buckler : offhand : +2 armor, -2 fort, may be used with 2 handed ranged or melee weapons. Usable by those that can use the mail.

Maybe a relic redoubt buckler also?

Ideas I may have been inspired from elsewhere, they may be original, I thought of them in the shower this morning and wanted to put them somewhere.
