TOPIC: No 2021 Player Packs for Player at GHC

Token sales continue to move along well -- and one month remains until deadline for ordering 2021 tokens hit on Halloween. We checked our current inventory levels for the 2021 tokens, and there are not enough 2021 Player Pack (a random pack of 10 tokens) to give one to each player at GHC. As a result, all players will get a 2020 Player Pack at the start of their adventure.
We anticipate having only a handful boxes of 2021 tokens once GHC rolls around, and those will be offered for sale in the TD Store at GHC -- so long as supplies last.
Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this situation. I wished we would have ordered more tokens a year ago, but at the time we did not know how COVID would effect our coming year -- so we erred on the side of caution.

Jeff, I'm glad 2021 token sales have exceeded your expectations. You were visionary in developing VTD instead of waiting for in person conventions to resume! I'd guess nobody will have a problem with 2020 token packs.

Will there be a decent amount of 2021 in the treasure mix?

I would expect none, save for monster bits, URs and transmutes, much like VTD.

I am hoping that changes soon. Maybe there will be a 2021 mix at the con? If I am able to get there, I am going to have my treasure draw tokens along just in case. I know eventually we can do them by mail, but in person will be much more fun!

I expect to have it be 2020 UC and R and then switch to 2022 UC and R based on the first posting in this thread

I think he's just saying that whenever the switchover happens (in 2022) it will be straight to 2022 R and UC. I think that even the mention that they might sell out of 2021 tokens at GHC almost guarantees that they will. Anyone on the fence will have to buy now or let it go. I just hope they still have enough 2020 tokens on hand to get us through GHC, V6c and whatever they have planned next. Jeff mentioned that there would be no event in December, but that they might pick up again in January. There's no guarantee 2022s will be here by then.

You could be correct but it seems like he is responding to the posts above which are talking about the mix at the con. So I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that he too was talking about the con.

Need to remember to suggest some of the 2021 being reprinted like 2023. Number of the neck items, probably. Though, I skimmed through standard pack tokens and not a lot I feel strongly about.

I mostly want Redstones and Sunstone Geodes for the theoretical day when the apps handle alchemicals for some undead laden VTD ... okay, maybe there's not a lot that truly matters to me from 2021 standard pack tokens.

Next time Goblin stuff shows up, can have rare goblin weapons.

My response to this was to order some 10 packs. Also did my transmute for the candle and a couple others.
