TOPIC: Consumables given to new players - who is doing it?

you can save some until GHC this year and other cons beyond then...you dont have to bring all to 1 convention

TD provides coaches with a stash of Common weapons. These are used for those occasional instances when a player doesn't get a usable weapon in their 10-pack and isn't able to trade with another player for one. We want to make sure everyone has a weapon they can use.

It's my understanding that Stu (one of our Directors, not a coach) likes to give new players, particularly young ones, a Rare weapon. That's kind of his shtick, but I think his supply is very limited.

Would it be acceptable for people with excess consumables to give them to coaches for handing out?
Would it be acceptable for them to also give rare weapons/armor if they chose to?

Kinda want a small basket for my training room of consumables for hey players draw a token (or few) if you want extra aid on your adventure.

Unfortunately it needs to be consistent. If there is for all training rooms great.

What about it we did something like a box at check into which consumed items could be dropped and from which everyone getting a wrist band could take a single pull per wristband.

That would even things out, if there was a supply issue with the box we could raid the consumable buckets scattered through the combat rooms and get back literally the same items to restock with.

I’ll be coaching at gencon, and I don’t mind handing out some extras for people while I’m coaching.
