TOPIC: A huge thanks to all!

A huge thanks to all! 1 year 8 months ago #1

I just wanted to give everyone a humongous Thank You from myself and my wife. You helped to make our first ever True Dungeon adventure an absolute blast. I wanted to give an extra special thank you to Kithren Bloodwood here on the forums and the rest of her group, as well as to all the staff and actors who helped us to experience Felurian's Feast on Friday Afternoon for making this an experience that I literally cannot stop talking about (I think I'm getting on some friends' nerves at this point). I cannot wait to jump back in to my next True Dungeon event, whether that ends up being at Gencon next year or if I happen to find time for another convention between then and now.

It's great to hear you had a good time. I'm jealous you got tickets to that one. I got to install and tear-down that one but I didn't get to run it this time. It will go down as one of the best ones. And that is not an easy thing to say as they are all great in their own way.

Welcome, Corbin! Glad you had a great time in Felurian's Feast. I really like that dungeon and am glad you do too. If you think you'll be playing TD in the future, I highly recommend submitting your XP from every run. It starts to add up, and there are some nifty rewards available at various levels.

You mentioned hoping to be able to do more TD runs without waiting for Gen Con 2023. Has anyone mentioned Virtual True Dungeon? TD has been offering virtual versions roughly once per month during the current unpleasantness. They're just about to start revised versions of V7-V11, which were first offered earlier this year. It's not the same (we use a dice roller instead of sliding, and we tell a helper called a "golem" what to do to solve the puzzles instead of interacting with the props ourselves), but some folks think it's still pretty fun. Plus, you get XP (if you haven't run that particular dungeon before) and treasure draws (mailed after the event). That said, some people really love in-person TD and aren't interested in the virtual option. Either way is fine, just wanted to be sure you knew VTD is an option.

Yeah, my wife and I are both thinking about doing a Virtual TD, and maybe trying to nudge some friends into trying Virtual TD with us to hype them up for some In Person events with us next year. I don't know how it's gonna be compared to the in-person events, but it seems like it'll at least be a fun romp and a chance to meet some more folks, as the group we met running this year were all super nice!

The next VTD weekend is rolling right up August 26-28 and there seem to be plenty of tickets still available if you want to just dive on in, or you could head over here if you wanted to try to find a group in a slightly more organized fashion.
