I saw that suggestion earlier, but it would get weird with lots of folks in a group with Safehold I tokens in the group...I think. Plus, it is hard for me to see how it works thematically.


Thematically, it seems to me we're getting all these followers and building this safehold and none of the abilities confer a benefit to the other members of our own party. (They cant even equip our mythical items for... mythical... reasons... (this is actually fine from a design standpoint, just wierd in context)) Instead each member of the party is building their own and recruiting their own followers. But I feel like this could make Safehold 1 something we could do something really special with - have it be a token a group of people that play together pool mats and build together. It changes the final token from - "lets each build our own safehold" to "lets pool resources together and form a party or adventuring guildhouse" which I think would be quite cool and something a lot of people would be interested in.

Is it possible to have the Dragonkin changed to another slot since you can get additional figurines through Charisma? Maybe neck, bead, waist or offhand imagine a tiny dragon flying around using a shield to protect you!

Jeff, could you clarify that? Are followers supposed to be tied to slots that don't currently have a way to GET more of THAT slot, or to slots that currently don't have a way to GIVE more of ANOTHER slot? If the former, Dragonkin needs to be adjusted since Psyferre's Spectacles and Crown of Allure give another figurine. If the latter, fiend and sprite need to be changed for charm bracelets and Cranston's Hat

Gloves of Glory is already a slot expander in the hands slot.

There is also a head items gives an extra eye slot.

It looks like we have to change the power theme of the Follower tokens. I was hoping to do a totally unique power, so anything not already available on tokens...please let me know. Thanks!

Slot Expanders (e.g. 1 slot becomes 2+) and Slot Swappers (e.g. 1 slot becomes a different slot)

You could just change their ability to limit the extra token to something that:

1. Doesn't affect slots
2. Doesn't affect the party card

Similar to how the Odin Necklaces and Skull of Cavadar Swap provisions go

Alchemist, Fletcher, other craftsman that allow reuse of ammo and potions without turning them in. Same with scrolls.

I'm very late to the party here, but want to respond to the prompt to iterate within the hireling, underling, follower framework.

One system that I've seen work well is that each tier has a specific bonus type. I think we saw this in an earlier iteration, or something similar. Basically:
Tier 1: 1/game effect
Tier 2: 1/room effect
Tier 3: Permanent bonus

That may be a way forward here. Alternatively, you could switch the order up a big and alter power:
Tier 1: Minor 1/room effect
Tier 2: Medium permanent bonus
Tier 3: One time really powerful effect
