Sólarstein Trillant ( Icelandic for Sunstone )

Safír ( Sapphire ) Trillant

I think it fits the Norse / Viking theme better! Thoughts ?

I would normally agree but the proximity of the Gregor’s Gladiator Gloves transmute chain makes me think another slot would be a better choice this year.

It’s a pretty different target between 2H weapon use and str + dex, but given some comments in the class card thread I totally don’t think there should be str + dex gloves at this time.

I agree, more just meant 2 glove legendaries in close proximity.

What if this was an Arcanum set item? I don't know if it makes sense for those to not be multi-year items, but it would make it kind of the equivalent of SRoEC and okay if the end goal is to gradually replace Eldritch with Arcanum.

I agree with Edwin that a Legendary shouldn't be better than an Eldritch Token. I would be OK with this being an Arcanum token though, as a result of a multi-year UR transmute. Although even at that, it seems overpowered compared to SRoEC and in a lesser slot.

Maybe limit them to damage types that aren't covered by SRoEC, so people can't get 20 points of damage resistance to some damage types by outfitting both.

I still think this is too strong as well.
I like the direction and think you could do a lot with it if we made it an active effect like Cloak of Shadowskin.

Arcanum are going into different slots and different types items (shirt, greaves , and unknown for the others) so that both can be equipped and not just be replacements/equivalents.

Bringing up a suggestion I posted in a previous iteration:

What if this was instead the next multi-year Arcanum item, starting with a reprint of the Topaz Trilliant in 2026 (overlapping with the last of the Greaves) or 2027, then have -5 Sacred, Fire, Shock, Cold Trilliants in the following four years?

To be clear, I feel -10 is definitely waaaaay too much, especially as an IS that also gives +3 saves; and that it would be detrimental to future dungeon design and balance. The Arcanum IS I'm imagining would have -5 to all the constituent elements (sorry Darkrift!). I'd even go as far as to venture -3 to all constituent elements, but since people do not like seeing number go down, even if it becomes more applicable (e.g., -3 damage on 6 hits > -5 on 2 hits), it'd probably end up being at least as high as the individual bits.

I also kinda like Impy's idea, too; and combine it with the Arcanum suggestion: what if, starting after the greaves are done, we print a series of IS that allow you to absorb X damage of one particular element once per combat, and culminate in an IS that allows you absorb Y damage from your choice of multiple elements, say, twice (or even three times) per combat? Similar to the above, I feel Y < X would be still be fantastic due to the slot consolidation, but there'd be rioting unless Y >= X.
